Many of the fans are concerned about the lack of new faces coming in to the team, can you give us any update on how the recruitment plans are going and when we are likely to see some new signings ?
We are moving in the right direction is all I can really say at the moment. Tommy is being very meticulous in the recruitment process but rest assured there is plenty going on !

When is the team due to report back for pre-season training ?

Any update on the situation regarding Kenny McLean and John McGinn ?
Nothing at moment on Kenny and havent heard a thing on John since the Sheffield United offers, which were nowhere near our valuation of the player.

In fairness to him it's hard to get "likes" when you are on everybody's ignore list.

I think you will find the reason he is no longer at the fakes is because he refused to answer the managers phonecalls at the end of season. Tommy Wright said that he spoke to him in January about his future and Nigel said he would wait till end of season to sort it. As soon as the season finished, he buggered off to Holland and let his phone ring out when Wright tried to get ahold of him to discuss a contract. Quite rightly so, the manager withdrew any contract offer on the table.
He was looking for 3 times his wage to stay on with us last time, something that the fakes were willing to match.
Hes a journeyman who doesnt like to hang about and spits the dummy when he doesnt have a run in the team.

I think a few have a rose tinted view of Nigel's time with us. He was regularly benched for attitude, performance and consistency reasons.... Ffs who in our team was so good we could afford to bench him?
We didn't fancy him at what he thought he was worth, and we knew him inside out. You have to learn these lessons and move on.
I predict he'll be at Dundee, Partick or back in f**king Hamilton again..! And that will tell you all you need to know about how highly rated he is in Scottish football.

I believe if he did sign a new contract he would have been in line to make the number one spot his own after kello moves on.

Why are we struggling exactly? Have Killie or St Johnstone signed anyone yet? Nope. I doubt they're panicking yet. I believe we offered contracts to two Scottish based players, Ridgers and Stevenson.
Ridgers joined, Stevenson signed a 2 year deal with Thistle instead of a 1 year deal with us. Dundee and Hamilton have signed a couple of crocks and a couple of first division players. Should we be concerned by that?
As TC said, contracts of English players typically expire at the end of June. I expect the majority of our signings will be players who played in England last season along with a couple of loans. Therefore expect the first couple of weeks in July to be our busiest time with regards to incoming players.

I could never wish anyone luck who is going to play with that shower of shite!

We had to pay the likes of Guy, Imrie, Grainger, to name a few to leave early from their 2 yr contracts as they werent up to standard.

Yes expect an announcement soon...
Do the club have any plans to better promote the use of the car park (especially for away fans)?
Open to suggestions on how we can do this better. We charge £4 on matchday and we do advise the visiting clubs about this.
Will there be a Fans Open day as part of the Pre-Season preparations to help promote the club within the community?
Yes considering having an open day at Ralston and possibly one at the stadium too (doing this with fans Council)
Are there any current plans to develop the Void?
Yes, looking at stage 1 just now....
Will the new screen be installed in time for start of the season?
Groundworks scheduled for next week and screen installation w/c 23rd June..

We did have talks with the player and made him an offer. Unfortunately he elected to sign for Partick Thistle.
Darren McGregor
Rangers were in touch a while back indicating they were going to speak wtih Darren. Club expects him to sign on at Ibrox shortly, think he is there for a medical today.
John McGinn
There have been no fresh bids from Sheffield Utd for the player.
Kenny McLean
Contract offer remains on the table, club are waiting to hear back from the players reps.
Season Tickets
We have sold 2150 so far which is ahead of this time last season. In total we had 2700 last season but there are plenty of new sign ups, especially in the family section so hopeful of breaking last seasons total.
General
Jim & Gary have been away on holiday, back now and meeting up with Tommy today for a progress update on player recruitment. There is a long list of targets and these are being pursued. The point was made that English players are all contracted until 30th June so there will not be much movement from South of the Border until July.
So there you go. I will post updates to this thread as and when I get them. Sure there isn't much above you didn't already know but at least you know 100% that it's accurate !
