St mirren are either in your DNA or they are not. Up and down the land fans are stabbed through the heart as another defeat is announced. The discomfort of a loss is always there cos you are a fan. It's the way it is and with us seems more cruel than for others. Presently we must be one of the worst teams with the worst league record across Europe, it so bad. But would I chuck it and support someone else. No , you just can't as a poster says you are tied emotionally, destined to suffer [emoji1]

I'll admit to hating the new ground and I'll admit to not attending as fervently as I used to. I'll admit the match day experience is grim on and off the park. It's a soulless lifeless pre fab wind tunnel of a ground.

For me a part of it died off when we relocated. For me the club fabric changed and it does not feel at all like the one I used to watch at Love street, even when a lot of it was dire

We move on. It's up to the new generations of young dafties to man up in the black and white. That's life but this new era, frankly afaiac its been pretty turgid and passionless fare.

What continually slays me though is our clubs seeming ineptitude and ability to fall into trap after trap.

This present hole we have dug ourselves and that's a fact , it's our own doing, is deep with steep sides. It's going to be a while before we're out in the sun again.

The frustrating thing is the fans saw this coming but the club seems incapable of avoiding the pit falls.

I'll just settle for winning some games and bask that I've attended two major cup wins , some promotions and the odd stellar spell of football.

For now I'm just an utterly frustrated fan who hopes for better days.

Paisley born, raised in Glasgow, lived down south for a bit but Paisley is my birth town and St.Mirren is my club, and what is happening is causing me pain. This is my equivalent of piles I suppose!

I'd love to be able to share the optimism that we won't go down but without a single win and a couple of draws all season I don't see anything so far to give me any optimism that we won't go anywhere but down, and it hurts to say it

Maybe what will happen is Jack Ross will take us down without a whimper, actually extending the gap between us and safety in his tenure. Then have us 3rd in league 1 in October next year. Then a bigger club will come in and appoint him.

Sounds mad doesn't it? Yeah it is. But that's exactly what happened when we took him from Alloa.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if we could go the whole season without winning a league game ???

I have read on here there's various rumours about AR but don't know what they are, nor do I go out my way to find out either. I also don't care for those whose sole agenda against seems to be that he supports Rangers.
But surely to f**k this Rangers and non Rangers thing you mentioned isn't true....is it? That can't have happened at a St. Mirren training session.....could it?!
It doesn't seem like that big a thing on the face of it but you can't have a manager potentially creating an 'us and them' attitude at the club in this day and age. That just can't f**king happen. 

Emotions I was once so passionate about St Mirren that any week they got beat I would be so angry about it I am a founder member of the 1877 club and when I came home from working away I would go to every game I possibly could but the last 3 years has kicked all my passion I once had for the club out of me .See the way everyone celebrated our league cup win well that's the way loads of guys on here will celebrate if we ever get a win that's how bad it has got but for me now and it hurts to say this I couldn't careless if I ever seen them again that's what St Mirren have done for my Emotions for them drained it right out of me.

Far too many, in most cases, schoolboy errors, appears to have lost the confidence of the team and most of the support, and think it is time for him to move on. Because of the errors, I wouldn't advocate his continuing of his other role as goalkeeping coach

I agree the Tannoy system needs sorted, the entertainment particularly Going to be controversial here. Phil is dated and uninspiring pish music atmosphere prevention. Why not bring Tony out at half time greet the fans or do something to give us some positive for the second half. Just my opinion no offence to Phil just feel it is very dull. Why not take requests for different tunes to play and hopefully we don't have to listen to fecking Paul Simon every week!

What makes a St.Mitten fan? Is it the ability to wait until half-way through the season to get a shirt from JD?

The only way the corners would be properly filled in with seats would have been Tesco giving the BoD another five million or so specifically for that purpose back in the day, or, a Saints diehard wins 25 million plus on Euromillions and does it as a vanity project. Just like the bloke who owns the 'Schuh' shops did for Falkirk's third stand.
To create the illusion of filled-in corners should be more achieveable, either with a couple of much bigger scoreboards, 'Easter Road' style full-width adverts, or more importantly, some sort of better disabled facilities in one corner.
I imagine GLS/SMiSA may be open to discussing options for the corners, possibly in a couple of years when they have time to seriously ponder the options / costs / benefits.
Incidentally, should a Saints fan win 25 million plus.... forget corners, build us a tight 'Tynecastle' style stadium back at Love Street, ditch Ralston, and use the shoebox dome as dedicated training facilities with a state-of-the-art running track, fcuk, sorry, I meant a state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface.
