It's probably the right move for both John and the club, if he had another season like
he had last year it would have blew any chance of him getting a move to a bigger club
and St Mirren's chances of receiving a fee for him, at least now we've got some cash
and we can now both move on... Best of luck John...

About 40 quid a square metre for a decent grade with a bit of length, your type 1 and sand shouldn't cost too much, like some1 has said you'd be best to get someone who knows what they are doing if your looking for a nice flat finished surface.

How many other teams can say they have 6 or 7 of their youth academy playing in the first team every week, the emergence of these players is the only positive we can take from this season, we can hardly blame these boys for getting us relegated, they've come in and done a job when the truth is they probably shouldn't of been used as much as they have been this season.
is that David Longwells fault??? Don't think so, if anyone is to blame it's the Diddy who signed all the duds that we've seen try and fail in a st mirren jersey this season.
Kenny McLean, where did he come from? Released from pro youth and back playing boys club football down the public parks, who went out and brought him to the club? David Longwel, John McGinn, 18 year old who bossed a 12 million pound Victor wanyama in the league cup final, where did he come from? Part of the youth academy Under David Longwells guidance since he was 8 years old. Jason Naismith and Shaun kelly last season, carrying it into this season and now Stevie Mallan and Jack Baird this season,
With the exception of hearts last season there is not 1 other team in scotland who can say they are producing as many young players as St mirren are, any1 wanting shot of David Longwell really must be daft, the guy would walk into another job within days of he were to leave St mirren.

I think the statement that they "have been given an easy ride for too long" is quite accurate.
I think the fans and shareholders should take some of the blame here.
A blind eye has been turned to McAusland employing his son on a decent wage he doesn't deserve. Managers are forced to play possibly the worst defender in the SPL, its not a great start for them. We should really have made more of a protest when it became clear what was happening.
The stadium issue has been debated plenty, while we could have kept Love Street or not is arguable, but the new stadium is a complete f**king soulless shitehole and I believe in the long run will be the death of the club. I just cant see the next generation falling in love with the club if the matchday experience involves sitting in a crap stadium with no atmosphere being told to sit down and shut up by the stewards. Falkirk and Hamilton managed to put some effort in to their grounds at least. We once again took the lazy option.
The management of the club over the past couple of years has been utterly pathetic. Seems we can afford to pay off numerous useless signings but can't afford to pay one wage to a decent manager?
Clearly the idiot earlier in the thread laughing at the missing letter on the stadium sign doesn't understand the symbolism of it. My business works well because Monday to Friday and many weekends I spend all day there and put my heart and soul in to it. If a giant letter fell off the front of my name on the building I'd have the whole sign down straight away, it would be damaging to our image. How could everyone be showing up to work at "t Mirren FC" and not give a f**k about the image of the club? I can only conclude its because the management don't care about it.
The same approach has been taken to every decision...."ah it will be fine, nobody will notice".
2 million quid for a business that can't make a profit?
The club should have been sold to Gordon Scott at a decent price.
Gilmour and McAusland should indeed get to f**k.

Can't blame Gary Teale as he has stepped in and done what he can. He is certainly better than Craig.
Gilmour and the board are a joke however. Going on the radio and talking about getting a "wheeler dealer" who can turn the ship around, and then just ONCE AGAIN appointing the assistant manager and with only a few days left in the transfer window.
I'll keep getting behind the team but Gilmour and the board should be ashamed to show their faces at St Mirren park and its time the support makes that quite clear to them.

At the next home game our fans should let Gilmour and his cronies know exactly what we think. His contempt for the fans at the AGM was out of order. George Campbell was no better.

This crew have been given an easy ride by many for far too long.
Their stewardship of our club in recent years has been shambolic at best, and verging on negligent.
They could have sold their shares to Gordon Scott - a Mirren supporter - but opted to sit it out for more money. How has that gone?
    Cheap, tight, greedy, and arrogant.
    Get yourselves to f**k!

2 many un answered questions for me over the years
all greed and money for me and i think the board have dilly dallied this whole season on the thought and hope that we would stay up with no effort and here we find our selves now
    rebuilding next season?
