My posts have been recent, and infrequent, however.....
Just back from the 200 mile trip, collectively me and those who travelled have spent over a grand watching some of the poorest footballing exploits I have ever seen!
In optimism and pure blind faith, I expected some sort of desire and fight from our team tonight.
What I witnessed was, men against boys, organisation v's disorganisation, and a team who wanted to win, v's a who hoped to win!!
We are relegated, and it happens to our team, we will get promoted again, however....
How can the BOD seriously think fans won't get turned off? Without regurgitating everything that's been said on this forum.... Danny Lennon, TC, GT, selling KM, new signings not been played... Really what the fcuk is the deal with sanoupe??? Listening to the shite from cheesy about staying up this morning, only to get absolutely turned over by utter pish tonight!!??
I don't personally think GT is to blame, he should have served an apprenticeship before taking the reigns.
This summer has to be our genesis, new owners, new manager, clear out of the team, start a fcuking again, and get us something to be excited about.
There is absolutely no reason why Inverness, RC, Hamilton, St Johnstone, killie, dundee, etc should be so far ahead of us.
Our club is in the state its in because of shite management from top to bottom, and unless we want to go the way of airdrie, Dunfermline, raith, then the BOD NEED TO GO BIG OR GO HOME!!! We are a shambles, youth is not producing, 1st team are not producing, BOD are not producing! Yes they may have invested in the past, but they aren't now, and while they are cutting back on output, we're still expected to financially input, it's not on, start again, and we can all get excited about SMFC's future!!

I don't hold Gary Tesle to blame one single bit. He was presented with an opportunity to coach, knowing that his playing days were winding down.
Realising that there was a total clown in charge and being presented with an even bigger opportunity to make a name for himself he stepped up and took over a squad of duds.
He is not the man to lead us forward and he has to go, but I can't lay any of the blame on Gary's head. It was always going to be a gamble asking a rookie to get us out of the mess TC and the board left us in. It hasn't worked out.

I genuinely hope it's a turning point for us, I really do. A fresh perspective, a chance to clear out the swathes of dead wood which have congregated at the club in the last few years, a new found impetus to take the club in the right direction and breathe a new air of positivity into the club both on and off the pitch.
My head rules my heart though and tells me it's going to be more of the same old f**king shite, though.

RC and Motherwell both brought in players who could do a job and we didn't plus weakened our team with Kenny leaving. Sad, but inevitable.

Choice next season Season ticket for Saints or Braehead Clan? At present there is nothing much attracting me to Saints. Clan are on the up and there is even an atmosphere at games unlike SMFC.
Clan will also have higher average crowds than us as they will sell out 3600 most weeks. Time to look at the marketing of SMFC and from top to bottom we are run by amateurs.

Couldn't agree more. Tony should have a role at our club. I know he would help our team.in anyway he could and having him in the dugout would fire up the fans and the players. He would at least give us hope which Tealey doesn't. He gives me a defeatist attitude that is not going to pull us out of the mire. He has had time but to be honest it's been absolutely dismal

The article is spot on. The BOD need to communicate with the fans on the reasoning behind these decision as ultimately they have cost us another long spell in the 2nd tier.
They are now looking greedy with their asking price

I can't believe it has been 35 years since we won the AngloScottish Cup. I was a mere 17 yr old boy, and I remember watching the final game from the Love Street end. It only seems like yesterday, and still feels like one of the best experiences I have had at the old ground. I hope the whole squad manage to take part in what should be a great night.

It's just incredible that after 30 league games our top scorers have scored 2 goals each.

The problem with holding on is that the value of the figure they wanted (2m) has been and will continue to be eroded by inflation. Bear in mind also that they have the continuing cost (albeit reduced, as we know) of running the club. They should have priced more sensibly at the beginning, or revised their expectations when it became clear it wasn't going to sell at their preferred price.

Yeah, but over the last five years or so, who has been able to sell their house for the price they would like to get, and hoped to get, when they bought the place initially?
