This argument is ridiculous, I have a mate who plays for Dumbarton, has done for 3 years, is in the first 11 every match. he works full time 9-5 mon-fri, trains twice at night a week and has a game on a Saturday. It is unthinkable that Ian murray could have done more last season than finish 7th and safe. Talk about punching above your weight, hibs, hearts, Rangers, the training complexes, budgets, and quality at their disposal, of course they were supposed to batter the lesser teams. Rank Ian murray against managers/teams on the same budget, and part-time. Answer?? Top of the pile, highest positioned part time club in scotland!!!

Actually our board pay them alot of money to hire them, then Pay them alot of money to leave after they've failed!

He didn't solely base his opinion of the player on what other fans were saying about him. He has also based his opinion of him on what he himself has seen.
He is giving his own opinion and arguing his own case.
All you have done is highlight specific sections of his post in order to comment on it out of context, add the words "how embarrassing" and throw in a few emoticons.
This is a forum for fans to give their own opinion. Why not try giving yours instead of slagging off fellow buds?

Mr Gilmour and his BOD would not welcome a fan or two on to the board me thinks, for fear they may actually question some of the idiotic decisions made by our beloved leaders.
Point 1: Would any right minded fan really agree to giving Tommy Craig a two year contract????
Point 2: Would any right minded fan really agree to the signing of unknowns such as Ball and Marwood to bolster the squad and giving McAusland the captain's armband as well as a pretty hefty salary????
Point 3: Would any right minded fan really allow those two monstrosities of strips to pass as first team outfits????
Point 4: Would any right minded fan really agree to allowing an untried and inexperienced Manager such as Gary Teale, with the youth team coach as his assistant to try and dig us out of the mess left by the aforementioned Mr. Craig????
Point 5: Would any right minded fan really allow our best player to sign for Aberdeen for a pittance????
Point 6: Would any right minded fan really allow the rest of the long suffering supporters to put up with the kind of dross currently on show without at least communicating with the fans and apologising for the product on show????
Point 7: Would any right minded fan really treat the rest of the support with the utter contempt displayed by our BOD throughout the season????
I could add more but, in reality the answer would be an emphatic no to all questions asked and the BOD really need to get the next major decision right i.e. the Managerial position as the wrong decision could quite easily see us fall out of the Championship and end up God knows where.

I have just read what Mr Gilmour has released to the press. Yes a long time ago they saved us but did they get nothing when they sold Love St???? and the money for winning the cup. that should have been invested in club cannot see where, did we use that money??
Like any business you have to invest and unfortunately Mr Gilmour and co you own the majority share in our club so time to invest or look for investers because with dwindling numbers through the turnstiles one of the oldest clubs in Scotland will be doing a Rangers. Maybe this is what you want that way you can blame the season ticket holders and the fans???
Find what you wrote a bit disgusting actually. And I have looked at the forums and where are your familys being disrespected. BUT YOU ARE HAPPY FOR GARY TO TAKE THE FLAK ON THE SIDELINES FOR YOUR INEPT ABILITY TO SIGN A TIME SERVED MANAGER AND NOT A PLAYER WHO HAD ONLY STARTED HIS FIRST COACHING GIG 2 MONTHS BEFORE. AND THE CHEEK TO SAY NO MANAGERS WHO SENT IN CV'S WERE RIGHT FOR THE CLUB. I WISH THE OUT OF WORK MANAGERS WHO APPLIED WOULD MAKE THEMSELVES KNOWN AND LET US DECIDE.
I have said before that there should be a couple of fans who sit in on decision making so that the board get a picture from the paying fans and what the likely hood of a backlash would be if decisions are not just a bit wrong but terribly wrong. Like giving Tommy 2 year contract and saying when he left he would not sign for less. Well the contract should have been torn up there and then.
When I was young my dad lifted me over the turnstiles and do you know there was loads of st mirren fans. Love St was full and all working class people. It was so busy my dad had to lift me to see or let me sqeeze past the crowd to the front.
If we win games the fans will come back I have no fear of that but if we continue the fans will come less to games and I fear what then.
Oh yes and the price of tickets should be reduced for the remainder of this season. I have a season ticket and really struggle to go just now however I feel for the fan who turns up and pays at the gate to watch that on Monday night

Why are people still talking about giving Thompson the managerial job?
He hasn't even coached an U16 team to my knowledge, FFS.
He is also part of the problem just now. One of the enmeshed characters at the club, who, like all his colleagues, don't seem to have any answer to the abject mess we are in. Where has his leadership been since he became captain (even taking account of his extended lay-off through injury)?
It would be madness to give him the gig. Surely it doesn't take a genius to see that promoting from within has been an utterly flawed policy.

Sadlier has just made 3 great runs, and 3 times our players couldn't complete a 10 yard pass!

4am, 4pm, does it matter? The guy who stays positive the longest always wins!! Are you going on Monday night expecting us to lose? It's not 100% certain we're down, and until that time comes, I will go in an optimistic frame of mind! Let's not get bogged down with the negativity/doom and gloom, of most posts in this forum. I was angry 5 nights ago, but in the cold light of day, losing to Motherwell is what it is, and I'm looking forward to Monday in blind faith that we will get a result!

The willingness of some people to re-write history regarding Lennon never ceases to amaze me. Ultimately he did more good for the club than bad. As has been said before, while you can argue either way for the decision to get rid of him if you'd told most fans that the alternative was Tommy Craig the majority would have wanted Danny to stay.

I don't think it's really up for debate that Jamie MacDonald is a better keeper than Ridgers, given that MacDonald reduced him to benchwarmer at Hearts for long enough.
I don't rate Ridgers, not one little bit. He may be a decent shot stopper, but then I've never understood this sort of praise for a goalie. If you aren't at least good at stopping shots, then you really shouldn't be a goalkeeper.

My posts have been recent, and infrequent, however.....
Just back from the 200 mile trip, collectively me and those who travelled have spent over a grand watching some of the poorest footballing exploits I have ever seen!
In optimism and pure blind faith, I expected some sort of desire and fight from our team tonight.
What I witnessed was, men against boys, organisation v's disorganisation, and a team who wanted to win, v's a who hoped to win!!
We are relegated, and it happens to our team, we will get promoted again, however....
How can the BOD seriously think fans won't get turned off? Without regurgitating everything that's been said on this forum.... Danny Lennon, TC, GT, selling KM, new signings not been played... Really what the fcuk is the deal with sanoupe??? Listening to the shite from cheesy about staying up this morning, only to get absolutely turned over by utter pish tonight!!??
I don't personally think GT is to blame, he should have served an apprenticeship before taking the reigns.
This summer has to be our genesis, new owners, new manager, clear out of the team, start a fcuking again, and get us something to be excited about.
There is absolutely no reason why Inverness, RC, Hamilton, St Johnstone, killie, dundee, etc should be so far ahead of us.
Our club is in the state its in because of shite management from top to bottom, and unless we want to go the way of airdrie, Dunfermline, raith, then the BOD NEED TO GO BIG OR GO HOME!!! We are a shambles, youth is not producing, 1st team are not producing, BOD are not producing! Yes they may have invested in the past, but they aren't now, and while they are cutting back on output, we're still expected to financially input, it's not on, start again, and we can all get excited about SMFC's future!!

I must admit that Tuesday hit me harder than expected as the realisation dawned that we were down. I was then sitting watching some Spanish game on the telly on Wednesday as the ball was stroked around, by both teams, for fun in a manner which we simply don't get to see and I became even more melancholy.
I started thinking about what Saints have given me instead of Messi style football and remembered the Anglo Scottish Cup, playing Liverpool at home, pissing the 1st division under Fergie, European nights in the Northbank, coming back from 0-2 down to beat Celtic 4-2, winning the Scottish Cup, winning the league under Hendrie playing 3-4-3, Junior's goals at Stark's Park, the celebrations at Somerset, coming back up under Gus, winning our first game at Inverness, the Great Escape at Fir Park, Mark II and III at Falkirk, Andy Dorman, beating Celtic in the semi and then winning the whole damn thing in the final and I've probably missed absolutely f**king loads but by the end of it I had a smile on my face and thought "f**k it, there'll be more to come!"
