MenstrieSaint got a reaction from pondsman in St mirren v Hearts
Should have had Connor McCarthy on the right hand side of the three central defenders and Erahon playing next to Power in front of the back three . We should be defending better . Its going to be a long season.

Need to have Connor McCarthy back for this one. Hearts will be dangerous at set peices . Hopefully Hearts luck runs out , they certainly got the breaks last week .

I don't think we do.
Other than Kenny McLean, players that have left us recently seem to have fetched pretty reasonable fees. Although the fees that they left for were never really officially disclosed, so we'll never really know exactly what they were sold for.
Motherwell have hit a purple patch over the past couple of years with their youth players. Having had a search it would seem that there was considerable interest in some of the players and they were on long term contracts. The biggie was Turnbull where there was a very public tug of war between two very rich clubs, in Norwich and the green bigots. Hence the reported £3 million fee.
Sold:
19/20: Hastie* (Rangers - summer)(£400K), McKinstry (Leeds - summer) ?), McAlear (Norwich - summer) (£250K), Scott (Hull - January)(£1.5 million)
20/21: Turnbull (Celtic - summer) (£3 million)
* - Hastie wasn't really a sale it was a development fee.
When we've sold players, we've not really had a bidding war, no real interest from "big" English clubs with money to burn, and most of the players have been nearing or at the end of their contracts. As you can see Hull City appear to have been in "silly season" mode when they paid £1.5 million for Scott, given his likely career path back to Scotland.
Maybe with McGrath we might see a true bidding war, given the names of the clubs allegedly interested in him. However, given that he can sign a pre-contract in January we're probably not going to get what he's truly worth.
The one that galls me is Erhahon, with a lot of our fans seemingly quite happy to accept £300K. If Josh Doig can entertain bids of several million then Erhahon is worth so much more. To be fair, the club are certainly not underselling Erhahon's value in the quotes that I've seen.
I also believe that we'll eventually benefit even more from John McGinn's hugely profitable sell on clause. Just as well we didn't hold out for a bigger development fee at the cost of the sell on clause.
I also, think that the self-inflicted fiasco of appointing that f**king useless clown, whose name doesn't deserve mentioning, cost us a fair whack of the McGinn money. £75K for that donkey of a CH was the tip of the iceberg. Otherwise we'd be in a stronger financial position.

I think that's how it will pan out . No hurry to sell Ethan , his time will come .

Maybe Lewis Jamieson. He did well at Clyde . Very fast and works hard to close down defences . Well worth keeping an eye on Inverness,s results.

Would be looking for double whats been offered and a decent sell on . Won't be surprised if a team comes in for both . I think we have to let players go if the right bid comes as that encourages others to sign , knowing that they won't be held back if a decent bid comes. Must be others in Ireland keeping an eye on Mccarthy and McGrath,s progress thinking they might fancy a spell at Saints .

McGinn puts a word in and the boy ends up at Easter Road.

One that might be a little more realistic....
Tyreik Wright - Aston Villa
Irish under 21 international
Can play either wing, impressed at Walsall last season. Plenty of assists and goals on his record
Perhaps John McGinn can put a word in
Ireland U21 winger Tyreik Wright rewarded with new Aston Villa contract (the42.ie)

I believe them, they hardly missed a game early eighties and knew most of the away support. Everyone who followed Saints early eighties knew Simon and Slasher.

Could not disagree more when you look at the fees commanded by Hamilton, Motherwell and DU for their academy players.

£350,000, %25 sell on, a further £150k if he makes 25 appearances and we get him on loan for a season would be a fair deal.

We sit in the family stand because I've treated a friend's son since he was 12. Saved him from a life at Ibrox!
He's now a grown man and a proud Buddie!
We've sat in the family stand since the first full season.
Early bird tickets will cost us a combined total of £480.
Happy at that.
Just find it ironic that if we kidnap two kids and apply as a family, we save £72. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

New strips supposed to be released tomorrow then? My 7yo son who recently has found a love of football cannot wait. He also cannot wait until general sale takes place so we can get season tickets together.
