In the SPL there are most times fine margins between the teams that drop and the team that finishes 7th and sometimes above. In almost every occasion a team that goes down has a mixture of journeymen, good and very good players much like Saints. If we pick up a very good player just because of relegation then thats a win for us IMHO.
Jamie McGrath would improve our squad however dont think we would get him.

Brophy , Jay and Watt ( as it transpired) are absolutely zero loss ...
At best they filled a jersey but they didn't feature and did nothing to enhance the first team..
Carson ( who is still there ) would be a loss but the manger has already acted quickly to get another well thought of keeper on board ..
Main led the line well but we have brought in another striker ( not in anyway saying they are like for like ) and Robbo has intimated he has interest in several players ...
Should Carson go we will get a further fee which will help drive recruitment ..

Depends on how many goals he scores , if he's a flop it's a loan but if he bangs a good few in then £250k will be peanuts, look at Van Veen, decent season and off to Holland for apparently£700k.
