    Good stuff!
Give Arquin a shot at centre back and tell him to face Ridgers, no chance anythings going near our goal then.

If we had lost say, 2-0 at Fir Park and the performance had been a bit 'meh', I would probably have given Monday a miss. However, Fir Park was so awful, so unbelieveably shite, that a tipping point in abject ineptitude from the manager and team was reached, so I will definitely be going on Monday. I want to see with my own eyes if any of that mob actually give a fcuk.

He is technically very good and has a left foot and right foot. Although often played on the left for the WHU Development squad i'm really pleased to see him given the number 10 shirt as I think that is where he is at his best and understand that is where Teale wants him to play. He has the football brain required to play there. Teddy Sherrigham the WHU attacking coach has been complimentary of him.
Over the last couple of years he has really worked on his strength and that realy shows in his defensive attributes too. Personally I think he has the attributes to make a good impression, hopefully he'll be given the time and games to prove that.
Put it this way - I don't think their in another released youth player i'd drive 450 miles to come and see debut.

YOU BUDDIES ARE NOW POSTING ON THE WRONG THREAD.
This one should be closed as Kenny Mclean has now been recognised as a priceless asset and ultimately worth much more than any Saint in history.
He has now been named the Holy Shit:

Which game were you watching? Goodwin was immense at the back. He moved right across the park putting in blocks and ensuring the crosses didn't get through. McLean. You're right. I felt something was going to happen whenever he was near the ball. I would add that I felt Kelly, Naismith, McGinn Mallan,,..... ACH, nearly all the team were excellent.
As far as Arquinn was concerned. Yes. He certainly looked good in parts but he appears to be the type of player who won't chase a 49-51 ball. Not saying it's entirely wrong but perhaps closing down a defender makes him make mistakes. Young McLear showed him how to do it when he came on.
I thought we did enough to deserve to win this match but we could just as easily have shot ourselves in the foot near the end so, a good point and we move on. Teales troops to shoot down the other half of Dundee on Saturday and we'll rejoice,.... a little.

Centre half's are over-rated. We've been a top flight club for years without any. No idea what the panic is about. Clean sheets are also over-rated. You get even better in play odds for the saints when we go one down.
    Right ok, time for bed.

The assessment of a County fan who posts on P&B (and seems to have his head screwed on, though its all relative over there):
"Strong, tall, fast, skillful. Great at pressing defenders when he wants. For most of the five months he played last season, I thought he was going to be the centre forward County had always wanted.
But he's also moody, inconsistent, prone to going AWOL (both during games and literally).
One moment he looks terrific, the next he tries a flick that needlessly gives the ball away when a simple 10 yard pass was on.
He's brushed off Jim Goodwin a couple of times leading to goals. He wins a lot in the air, even when playing at his worst.
He's pretty terrible at finishing 1v1 with the goalkeeper. I can think of four such chances he's wasted this season off the top of my head.
He'll do well at the start while the attention is on him, which makes me fearful of Saturday"

Those of us that were actually at the game would say that we played reasonably well - actually quite similar to the first game of the season against Motherwell. But four months later we cannot accept that we were just unlucky (again) - it was the same old story - attractive football in the middle of the park, but a leaky defence and powder puff up front.
However if GT can make one or two (or three) effective signings over the next couple of weeks we still have the nucleus of a decent team - ALL IS NOT LOST YET!
We can still catch Motherwell and overtake Ross County but we need fans to actually turn out at games and provide their support instead of sitting at home and posting negatively on here!

Kelly is hopeless in the left midfield role and I would have tess in the team ahead of him at left back every week. Kelly is far too slow and gets caught out all the time, anytime I've seen him play he's constantly blowing out his arse as well.

Come on Billy. I agree that change is drastically required but what more could GT have done? He's dropped dross like Marwood, Ball and "goal a game" Kello and introduced exciting talent like Mallan and McLear. We are still a world away from being where we need to be but at least he's having a go.

Craig changed nothing on taking charge... save reducing the quality of the squad.
    Teale has changed the training...
    Changed tactic at set pieces...
    Improved our shape and discipline...
    Improved our play all round.
I am not saying he is the answer...
But he has done a decent job with what he has inherited and is deserving of more respect than that.

He didn't have to make a serious save because our top striker is 36, and is either only 65% fit, or suspended. Our back up strikers, signed by Craig, are clearly not good enough. Guys like Reilly who weren't signed by Craig are lightweight and haven't offered much of anything any time they do play. We played a midfielder up front, alone, while our opponents, a club of similar stature to ours, had a three-pronged attack featuring Miller in No 9 role, with Magennis and another guy who I cannot name at present, constantly swapping wings and moving to create space.
I feel a bit sorry for Teale and Longwell. They are trying to mix it up, with the tools they've inherited. (I don't mean tools in the derogatory sense, honest..) it is clear they have little faith in Ball, Marwood, Reilly or Caldwell. With Stephen Thompson out, they turn to a young midfielder to play up top, not any of those four? Speaks volumes. All four should be shown the exit door if possible to free up valuable wages and squad spaces. My opinion obviously.
I am now royally fcuked off with St Mirren. Collum didn't help, but it isn't Collum's fault the last time we won a home game Queen Victoria was on the throne. It isn't Collum's fault we are the only senior football team in Britain without a single clean sheet. It certainly isn't Collum's fault that we have a tired out-of-ideas BoD who appointed Davie Hay MkII, have singularly failed season after season to sign a decent no-nonsense CB, or signed a decent striker capable of complimenting/backing up an ageing and isolated No9 legend.
Our home record is now a joke, an absolute fcuking joke. I have seen us score one goal this season, having missed a couple of games due to clashing with the NFL games at Wembley. One fcuking goal, much less a win.

Think it's Kenny's time of the month. His screaming at everyone and anyone besides looking stupid is not very professional and undermines the confidence of his teammates. And at one point he was so busy abusing his own teammates that he didn't follow play and when the ball was sent back to him he was offside as he stood screaming like a wee banshee. Needs to concentrate more and grow up.

For me personally the last five minutes of the Hammerby match on the 6 Nov 1985 takes the biscuit. It was like a whole team committing collective suicide. For me it was worse than the 2010 Cup Final defeat.

This must be the quietest matchday thread in history. I'm going tomorrow although I must admit it's more in hope than expectation but there again that is exactly the time when we usually pull the rabbit out the bag results wise. I would take a draw right now !!!

    No experience?
Kello, Goodwin, McAusland, Tesselaar, McGinn, McLean, Thompson, Wylde. All played today. How many games have they played at this level? There is enough experience in that squad, we just need to get the ball in the net.
We should have comfortably beaten Motherwell and Dundee and have 6 points, instead we have 0 and two home defeats.
