Sonny reacted to div in Danny Says No More Signings
The club are actively pursuing a left back. If they get the one they are after I reckon most of the fans will be pretty happy.

Sonny got a reaction from kevo_smfc in Cornell, Dilo & Dillon Sign - Confirmed
De Gea is the same age as Cornell and like Cornell has only been capped at Under-21 level. Think he has done ok at Man U. Newton and Dummet had never played first team football before and they did ok. Not at all worried about Cornell. There have been several young reserve Premiership keepers who played in Scotland then went on to success in the Premiership.

5p charge per bag with profit going to good causes.
You'd have thought that it would be hard to find anyone who would disagree with this but apparently not.
Still, it's a brilliant idea and will solve part of the waste problem.
About time.

Sonny reacted to BuddieinEK in Hearts And Us.
Just sent this text to Radio Scotland for Gary Locke... ...
I have nothing but respect for Hearts as a club. I have very good friends who bleed maroon blood. I like Hearts. I am good friends with someone who played 12 years at Tynecastle and have been awed by how this former player in his 80s has been treated by them. I truly like Hearts.
But.... ...
as a St mirren fan I have seen us rot in the lower league for years because we serviced debt rather than speculated.
We were relegated after one season in the spl because we would not spend what we didn't have.
We lost out captain to Rangers for higher wages than we would pay.
We lost our keeper to Dunfermline as they paid him a higher wage.
We lost a left back and a keeper to Killie for higher wages (note the clubs and who is next).
We wanted to sign Craig Beattie... he was interested in signing till Hearts offered higher wages... he joined Hearts and helped them win a cup.
Can Gary understand why it might be hard to empathise with hearts current situation when we have all seen it coming for years and other clubs, like Saints, have suffered for living within our means?

Chris Smith needs a bit more respect. Not a great keeper but done a job for us in 1st division. Honest professional who I wish best of luck to in his new career.

Sonny got a reaction from Kemp in Greggs Bakeover Takeover
I like Greggs however there are many small bakeries who supply to their local clubs and this deal may very well put them out of business. Difficult choice but I think I would reject the bid.

Sonny got a reaction from Scanlon's Left Peg in Paisley - My Pics Of Old Or Unusual Buildings Or Places Of Interest.
PICTURE 127 is Stanely House, off Stanely Crescent at Stanely Dam. B Listed. Villa built in the Late 1800s. And that is all I can find out about it! If anyone has any more information about its history then please share

Sonny got a reaction from Scanlon's Left Peg in Paisley - My Pics Of Old Or Unusual Buildings Or Places Of Interest.
Image 126 was originally the Paisley Grammar School Penilee Sports Pavillion. Penilee Road. A Listed. Art Deco. Constructed in 1937. Architect H Cook.
Now the Ralston Community Sports Centre.
I just love this building but had been totally unaware of it until recently. Not been inside but from the outside its like going back in time. Beautiful building.
(And yes, it is in Paisley!).

Sonny reacted to TediousTom in Greggs Bakeover Takeover
According to this mornings newspaper reporting's it would appear that Greggs are after some sort of deal whereby they assume catering responsibility for all SPL clubs. The modest profit made at our club is still a profit and provides exposure for the Greggs brand.
I find myself very much against this as we are in danger of "selling out" the entire footballing experience to corporate companies. One of the many positive (and often negative) experiences of attending rival football grounds is the critique that each of one us makes (often mentally and very often verbally) of the quality of the pie/Bovril/service quality/burger.
Football will be a poorer place without the experience of the fine "Killie pie" and the shitty and overpriced "bluenose burger".
One of the best pies I ever eat was at Peterhead and I remember it fondly. Would I recall an often replicated Greggs offering in such a way?
Stop selling off the football experience you faceless and non footballing supporting halfwits.

Sonny reacted to pozbaird in My Gig Of The Year
If they don't play 'Love Shack' and replace it with ten minutes of feedback.... ask for your money back. DEMAND a greatest hit, singular, set from the B52s.
I'm in trouble now for my cheek.... and for ignoring 'Rock Lobster'.

Sonny reacted to salmonbuddie in My Gig Of The Year
If you'd asked this last Friday I'd have said another song. Having thought about it since then, that "wankery" made the gig for me. Disagree it was "wankery" mind, the song's about the mess we're making in the world and (imo) the noise at the end was a representation of where Neil thinks we'll end up if we don't do something about it.
It made the gig for me because that's Neil Young in a nutshell, doing what he thinks is the right thing to do and not chasing the popularity the easy way. Did I enjoy the noise musically? Nope, it was shite to listen to. Did I get in the end? Oh yes. Eventually. Do I wish he'd done another song instead. Nope, it summed the man up and the gig would have been much less enjoyable in retrospect if he had.
I said somewhere else that this is one tick done on the bucket list (and it is) but my hope now is that he comes back on his own and, as a bonus tick on the list, I get to see him do an accoustic set. Here's hoping!
