We should have one late day each week for people who want to roll up to the stadium and pick them up but are unable to do it in the middle of the day
 

a real defender who knows how to defend!
If at all possible, I would build the defence around him and keep him for as long as possible!
Also noticed the improved communication throughout the team, with players talking to one another throughout the game... none moreso than Davis.

We are just over a week away from a national final and looking on the official website the ticket office is closed on Saturday morning. We should be trying to assist people not put barriers in their way/

So what does  preparing for League one looking like..... Give all the staff 3 months notice. Contact the agents of the players and tell them that their clients will be not offered a new contract so best planning elsewhere, tell all the loanees that's its byebye.
Cancel any expenses, or maybe even increase gate money ...............
 
Or........................ With 13 games and 39 points, a new team, more options, a determined Chairman and Coach and a never say die attitude........... Win at all costs with supporters doing just that

Not to burst the bubble on positivity, though still think there is a fair bit of pressure on the players to get an 'expected' win against East Fife this weekend, a team who are flying at the moment. I'm hoping though that an extra week of training together we will come good.
The game versus The New Saints sends the winner into a final of a cup and that also has its expectations. I do feel however this new group of players along with the ones we kept on, need to show a performance that every game from this Saturday till the end of the season is a cup final.
 
 

Reading through the various topics (too many to reply individually) debating our chances of catching Ayr most people are missing a very important point.
They are using our results so far this season as a marker for potential results between now and end of the season.
We got rid of 10 players who contributed to these terrible performances and brought in 11 players who were prepared to sign for a team in January 7 points adrift at bottom of the league this suggests to me these guys are up for the challenge the big question is? Are the fans and Jack Ross?
As far as I'm concerned Saturday was basically our first game of the season new team new tactics luckily for us we have 2 cup games to get the pre/new season rustiness out the way then our biggest game in years comes against Ayr which I'm confident we will win and we can have a great run from there on in.
Nobody in this league is unbeatable and I'm looking forward to a new St Mirren team taking points off Hibs/Falkirk/Morton and Dundee Utd especially as we go on a great run to finish 9th.
We will do this but probably get beat in play off by Jim Goodwin's Alloa.

Daft as it sounds to drop our top goal scorer but there is some logic here. Smith was taken back from his loan at Utd because McInnes was not happy with the amount of game time he was getting  so it may be safe to assume that part of the deal was he plays a majority of games. Sutton an Loy didn't look comfirtable together yesterday.
Loy spent a lot of the game too close to Sutton, sometimes standing almost static not knowing whether to peel left or right . Now if we persevere with that partenership , it may come good , also if we continue to play high balls , the option of Smith & Sutts might work but if we want to play the sort of footy we did at Dundee last week ( I know neither smith nor Loy played) then Loy & Smith might be a better option with Sutton as the impact sub as BB said.
On the plus side , at least we appear to have some viable options now.
 

This is the kind of shite that really annoys me on this forum. It was clear for anyone who was at the game that he had a hamstring injury. Such is his importance to the team he actually went back on. He has also been our best player week in week out. Watch him win EVERY header and the way he attacks the ball and tell me his heart is not in it.

If we don't win next week it is difficult to see us being able to aim any higher than catching Ayr and going into the playoffs. Another fabulous result for Dumbarton today.

You would think they would have some info on the website, the games just over a week away.
