With the 5 billion plus that has just been handed to the English leagues by the halfwits at Sky and BT one could say that Scottish football doesnt need any money as any players we produce will be sucked away to the English game. Even the lowest league clubs will be rich in comparison to us and mark an old fellahs word when I say that every player we produce of average quality and above will fritter off down south.
So why do we not need money I hear you ask? We will not be able to compete with our foreign cousins so why even try. By all means sponsor the SPFL with a charitable organistion.
May I suggest guide dogs for the blind to sponsor the SFA.
May I suggest the SSPCA to sponsor the SPFL (I like dogs).
May I suggect the Scottish debt alliance to sponsor whatever league tribute act Rangers are in.

It's time fans stopped worrying about his age and let Thommo think for himself. He will be fully cognisant of how he feels and is responding. He doesn't need doubters or doom-mongers adding to the clamour of the clock.
AFAIK he doesn't have dementia or Alzheimer's, so he's still fully aware of where the goals are.
I'd bet that right now Thommo's still as fast, agile and nimble as the great Yards was in his prime! And yet Yards could still rattle the rigging, make the net bulge, ping them in...
Thommo will also be well aware of any limitations... And will KNOW when it's time to stop.

Not one thing came off for the lad.

This will happen with young players and this is truly where we, as SUPPORTERS can really make a difference.

I think it's unfair to say they create problems. They're young guys who are still learning the game and it's natural that they'll make mistakes, they're also likely to go through spells of poor form. But they're talented players, and they'll continue to improve with support from the coaching staff and the stands. I'd certainly rather have them in our team than the opposition.

Not least when we were a fall back option after Well knocked them back.

I actually thought we played a bit better today. McLean and Naismith stood out as the two guys at least trying to drive us forward and get something out of the game. People slag off McLean, but that's really just because they are stupid. He was far and away our best player today, and was involved in everything decent we did.
Still, Saintees also had too many chances, and a narrow loss to a poor side can't be seen as progress. We need someone new in now, this can't go on. Its December and our players still don't look 90mins fit.

They tried to cram the show into an hour, so they missed the build up to a lot of the jokes. The tale of Winston's leg an crutches in the canal was just glossed over, so it wasn't very funny; many others too.

One goal out, but the rest of the prediction seems right.
The reality is United are a far better team than us, just like they have been for the past 30 odd years. They've now won 5 games at home this season and drew the other and they're top of the league. Us losing there is nothing new and hardly unexpected.
Given we were forced into playing two kids in Reilly and Drury out of position in central midfield today, we weren't actually that bad. Our injury list must be the longest in the league.
Take 5 first pick players (Plummer, Osbourne, McGinn, Wylde, Thompson) out of any squad in this league and they're going to struggle, we are no different.
Despite this, for long periods of the first half we were on top. Then United's superior quality shone through in the second half, and they have some fantastic firepower going forward. That's why they've been the best team in the country this season.
Don't let that stop a good week of knickerwetting though!

Back on subject - Always disappointing to lose a game but we must not forget we have some real key players out. We are a small club with a matching budget so don't have the luxury for a bigger experienced squad unfortunately that's the reality.
