We could debate this aw night, the point is the whole experience of going to watch our team, from the walk in, to trying to squeeze a thousand or so fans out a gate the width of a double door when there is a huge gate next to it, is shit! That includes everything in between, the atmosphere, the football on show, the lack of passion and flair from players up to board room. And then there is the stuff the club can't control, the pricing (clubs are forced into it due to high wage bill n running costs in football), poor officiating, dreadful and archaic statutes ( my three n six year old got there fruit shoots whipped off them) and awful fixture arrangements! This could go on a while.......

Can't help thinking that Davie Weir the Brentford 1st team coach had a big say in this. If Brentford win promotion its worth 60 million so to spend 1 million to help bail out his "old club" is neither here nor there.

Not the most spectacular but I'll never forget Donnie McDowall lobbing the Hamilton keeper for a 1-0 victory at Douglas park in the early/mid 70's. Think it was one of my first away games. Wish I'd went to Dundee to witness Mallans goal but I'm sure he'll get a better one next time I'm in town.

Got as far as Aberdeen for the Dundee game and I went for a pint next thing I knew we had won 3-1 but apart from that I don't think I missed much. Happy New Year John and I'll catch a game with you sometime.

Home for New Year this time around but my two sons are in Glasgow and are heading to GHR in my absence. They are trying to persuade one of their pals to tag along as well.
Will be watching/listening from afar.
