I've certainly lost control of my bodily functions, but that's what years of following St Mirren does to you.
Anyway, it is a privilege to serve this proud forum and its wonderful members, and I will relish the challenge going forward into this working week. Drew is a fighter, he's got plenty of irons in his bow. Pressure isn't a tangible thing, you can't grab a hold of it, but, first and foremost, I believe I have quality posts that I can trust.
I'm not naive, I know that the forum is a results driven business, but I know I can turn things round and achieve more than 20 likes to my posts again.

I still don't get the continued disregard and outright hatred for the keeper.
He's young, yes, but he';s a decent shot stopper, is a far better kicker than Samson, is good in the air and seems to have a decent command of his box.
What has he actually done wrong? Did he make a single mistake yesterday? Seems people are hounding him from what they were told in pre season.
    I think he's a good goalkeeper.

I seldom start threads, and I slept on this before deciding to post it, but feel it had to be done.
The booing at HT and FT yesterday was a fucking embarrassment.
We had two players making their home debuts yesterday, and what a welcome they were given. Particularly grim, though, was to watch Cornell, Newton and a few forlorn others actually applauding the stands at the end to a chorus of booing. It was sickening.
Now, before anyone jumps in with the line that they've paid their money, and have a right to express how they feel, or the other old favourite about it being down to how passionate they feel about the club, blah....blah...blah, I'm simply stating my opinion on this matter.
If anyone actually believes that anything positive will be achieved by booing you own team off the park, then they need to have a long hard look at themselves. You don't have to be a psychologist to work it out. If the players and manager are already feeling the pressure and something is amiss at the club, then being subjected to this sort of teatment is going to achieve nothing good.
Whether you blame the manager, the players, or the BoD, all they will have heard collectively is booing. Indiscriminate booing. It is moronic.
To be honest, I reckon this type of behaviour is more likely to put people off coming along to SMP to take in a match than what is happening on the pitch. It has certainly made me glad for the international break.

Folk who want to see the positives from today will see them.
Those whose minds are already made up...well I doubt anything will change their mind.

I have to declare that I read the Black and White Army forum mainly for its entertainment value. The extremity of opinions amuses me and the extreme reaction to results (good or bad) is hilarious. I think that many of the posters must have very little else in their lives, for them to react so extremely.

While I agree that we were very poor yesterday, I am appalled at the criticism of the young full-backs. They are, of course, inexperienced but both were totally exposed by the midfielders in front of them who provided absolutely no protection whatsoever. Tracking back seems to have disappeared from their vocabulary.
Imrie had a point to prove but if he had played like that when he was at St Mirren he would not have been shunted.

Why do people get so upset about football strips? It is only a football strip and no worse than many others over the years, and it is recognisably a Celtic strip which, after all, is its purpose.
    Edited to correct spelling.

Green's logic defeats me. He refuses to attend the hearing on the grounds that Newco Rangers have never been members of the SPL (which is true) but at the same time wants to hold on to the trophies won when the Oldco were there.
Talk about having your cake and eating it!

You continue to quote very selectively. If you had read my previous post you would have seen that I was making no attempt to defend the financial viability of 10000 Hours. I was simply pointing out that no one can blame 10000 Hours for causing him to post abuse. The poster must be held responsible for the content of his post. If he cannot express his opinion without posting personal abuse, then he should be banned.

Sid! You are talking even more rubbish than usual. No matter what your feelings about 10000 Hours or other fans' opinions, the only person who can be held responsible for abusive posts is the individual poster. If he/she cannot express his/her opinion without resorting to abuse, banning/suspension is justified.

As I said in a previous post, you are very selective in your reading. As far as I can see, there is a passing mention of the £1.1 million. The rest of the piece concerns positive suggestion to improve the Scottish football set up, such as bigger leagues, more teams promoted/relegated, referees no longer booking players for celebrating goals scored with their fans and moving the football season to the summer. You really do need to remove your blinkers!!

I have been following the trail of the proposed CIC since it first came on the scene and, although it has gone through various disguises, I still think it has potential. What does piss me off is the usual suspects on this forum continually starting new threads and going off at tangents. They seem to have reached the stage where they can't see the wood for the trees.and I can't be bothered reading any more of their drivel and I shall leave this forum until the deal is settled or not, as the case may be. Que sera sera!

You are absolutely right in what you say (apart from the gratuitous insult). I was merely asking St Sid how he thought the CIC is going to be any worse off than the present board in dealing with any financial problems.

    St Sid,
I do not know you but you were identified to me when you spoke at the recent CIC meeting. Having read many of your posts on the subject, I was surprised to hear how sensible, calm and collected you sounded.
Perhaps if you kept your cool on this forum, stopped casting aspersions on the intelligence of others and gave up calling them names people might be more inclined to pay attention to what you say.
