RickMcD got a reaction from Isle Of Bute Saint in Jack Ross
After you stopped posting, the need for so many of us pointing out what an asshole you continually made of yourself disappeared. You do have something in common with LPM.

RickMcD reacted to santaponsasaint in Lewis Morgan 2018/19
Remember first seeing him as a 16 year old playing in the u20s. He was so slim his top was to big for him. But sitting with Skodasaint and Burnsy we all said the same thing. this tiny skinny kid has something. He had blistering pace and we loved watching him in the u20s. And I was at a Dumbarton game last year and Lewis dad tap me on the shoulder and introduced himself. He said Lewis would like to give you his shirt at the end of the season. I asked why. He said as a thank you for supporting and encouraging him in the u20s. as you can imagine i was delighted and true to his word I met up with Lewis in the supporters club and gave me his shirt . I'm a massive fan of his and were ever he plays I always will be. he's a credit to the club and his family. Lewis thanks for the great memories. Coys

Good on you and good on Lewis.
The guy has a first class attitude and look at the benefits to our team and to him personally.
A gem.

RickMcD got a reaction from faraway saint in So Farewell Then Big Tom
Suppose he was legendary in some places. I've lived in Ulster for 33 years this year, the same province Big Tom was born and died in, and I first heard his name on Tuesday when he died. In a social club I use a lot, only a few guys knew who he was. RIP anyway, Big Tom. By all accounts he was a good guy.

I think a few of your many posts on this topic are almost actionable. You should tread carefully. If I was Gordon Scott I would have been at least having a chat with my solicitor. In your previous incarnations over the years you always went on in the same vein. If the vote gets the go-ahead, will you accept the decision?

I'm a SMiSA member and I have to admit that when I first read the proposal I instantly wondered what had happened to the ring-fencing guarantee. I think crossing from ring-fenced to give us a loan of £50k is a bit of a quantum leap. I didn't vote because essentially I trust SMiSA and the board of SMFC. I don't have a perpetual axe to grind unlike some others. Having said that I don't think the SMiSA response to the furore has been handled particularly well. Hubris springs to mind.

RickMcD reacted to Mr Zo in Brechin v St. Mirren 7/4/18
Don't have a ticket for the game but making my way up with fellow buddies who do. Meant to be heading to Fife for a family holiday but instead wife going solo with three kids until I join her after the game.
The plan is to get dropped in Dundee after the game and make my way by public transport to St Monans and strictly not via viennas and a party in Paisley.
This will be a day to remember whatever happens. Hopefully I won't be talking about it in the divorce courts in a few months as I only told her tonight I am off to Tannadice on Tuesday and we need to be home for 3pm on Saturday.
Come on Ye saints!

RickMcD reacted to Dare in Brechin v St. Mirren 7/4/18
The last year has been a magical time to be a Saints fan ....... dragging ourselves off the bottom of the league and escaping the drop to the third tier and then winning the league this season in a canter. I’ve loved every minute of it - let’s enjoy Saturday and the rest of the season as this is a time to be treasured. Oh aye and as for game v Brechin ............ lets f#cken do this mob ! COYS !

Personally I like this strip but possibly with a wee bit of red in it somewhere. But I would much rather they wore white shorts. Never liked black shorts.

RickMcD got a reaction from MenstrieSaint in Hospitality Prices 2017/18
I only get over a couple of times a year for a match and I have always fancied going to hospitality but I refuse to wear a tie to a football match. In fact I only ever wear a tie for weddings and funerals. I started primary school in 1952 and wore a tie every day until I left Camphill in 1964. I went straight into a white collar job and wore a tie for the rest of my working life. When I realised in 2003 that I would probably never work again, I decided that I'd had enough of wearing ties. I'm a well behaved guy. Honest! But a moron wearing a tie at hospitality might still behave like a moron.

RickMcD reacted to TediousTom in Believe
Belief is a funny old thing and I do not see the relevence of discussing belief at this time. Belief and knowledge are two very different things. To illustrate this point I shall list some things that I believe and some things that I know
Things I know
How to play Jenga
God does not exist.
Labour are incompetent fools who are an embarassment to democracy and to the founding principles of Keir Hardie
People from Greenock smell
Rangers football club died in 2012
The Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co first team playing squad will win the championship and be promoted to "the tap league".
Things I believe
Cosmos is the best chippy in Paisley
Shull is a fruitcake (a likable one but at the moon he doth bark)
Paisley should have won the city of clulture bid and the faceless judges are so stupid they probably vote Labour
Donald Trump is so stupid if he were British he would vote Labour
So you see the difference between fact and belief? Or fact and faith? Belief/faith is just an opinion, we all have them but belief/faith is unimportant when compared to knowledge. Knowledge is king. So in essence I dont give a rats arse what the belief/opinion of fellow supporters are with regard to us winning the championship. As I have stated elsewhere on this little forum of ours I DO NOT BELIEVE that we will win this league. I KNOW WE WILL. We will indeed.

Deflection deflection
He brought on Hippolyte...I’m sure you could have googled that mind you
Then he took Cammy smith off to change the shape.
Had he done nothing and we conceded you would have loved it anyway. Since that never happened your focusing on some absolute drivel.
I know I shouldn’t have bit in the first place, you and TC are as transparent as can be looking for attention trying to defend your OTT criticism of Jack Ross last year
This season must be absolutely killing the both you, unlucky you can’t enjoy it like the rest of us -
RickMcD reacted to pondsman in St Mirren v Brechin Sat 24th Feb
This is spot on. Poor performance yesterday but some supporters seem to have short memories. I was very disappointed with the abuse given to some players, especially Liam Smith, who were having a bad game. The clue is in the word 'supporters'. We're supposed to be there to back the team and they need that backing more than ever when things aren't going well. The players will need us to be as positive as possible in the coming weeks to help them get over the line. By all means come on to the forum after a game and analyse it to death, but during the 90 minutes let's get right behind our team, however they are playing. Remember what these lads have achieved in the last 12 months! COYS!!

RickMcD reacted to davidg in St Mirren v Brechin Sat 24th Feb
I think a lot of the panic is down to our lead being “cut”to 8 points on Friday night but let’s remember that this has only happened due to points picked up in games in hand.
We’ve actually picked up more points than United and Livingston over the last 10 games, even just the last 6 games so we’ve technically stretched our lead as the table takes shape with teams catching up with games played. Even with us losing to Livingston neither team has kept up with our form and we’re still picking up more points then the chasing pack.
There’s nothing to suggest that the form over the last 6 or 10 games will change IMO and we will run out as comfortable league winners.

RickMcD reacted to St.Ricky in St Mirren v Brechin Sat 24th Feb
Just want to add four things:
1 We ARE top of the League.
2 We CAN win the League.
3 We CANNOT be relegated
4 A year ago we were BOTTOM
Time to feel good about being a St Mirren Fan I think.
Tough games coming up? Yes.
Everybody wants to knock us of our Perch
Great .....bring it on, squeaky bum time as well.

RickMcD reacted to Sonny in St Mirren v Brechin Sat 24th Feb
We dominated the first half with some decent football. And yes we did have a poor second half but Brechin usually get beat by 1 goal so we are not the only team to struggle against them. Flynn came on with 30 mins to go and imho contributed very little. Hippo came on with 15 mins to go and shat it in his first couple of attempts to win a ball. Subs need to pick up the tempo and not lower it. Baird was good in the short time he was on mostly covering for a woeful display by L Smith. But we are 11 points clear with 10 games to go. Be happy

RickMcD reacted to billyg in Livvi v United -What's your best outcome?
Livingston won't get near us , they've got form team Morton to play 3 times , that's 3 very hard games against a team desperate to get into the qualifying spots. I know we've still got to keep our feet on the ground , but we'll win the league by 10 points or more , unless we take our foot right off the gas once we've clinched it !
