Owning 71% or 51% makes little difference. SMiSA will have control over the football club. In the same way that Gordon currently has control.
The major decisions that are listed as all parties having to agree on are all the sort of things that you’d absolutely expect all SMiSA members to be consulted on such as changing the name of the club, putting in AstroTurf, issuing new shares and taking out massive loans.
Bringing fan ownership in 5 years early isn’t really the big selling point here IMO. Fan ownership will happen with or without Kibble and I don’t personally think it will actually take as long as 5 more years anyway.
 The crux of this IMO is for the members to decide whether Kibble bring something worthwhile to the party or not.
 
 
 

I like this train of thought.

For me Mihai is far above our normal standard of defender. Him, Hladky and Muzek transformed our defence from one that was losing games to one that started to draw then win games. At our level a great centre half is more important that a striker IMHO. If we are not conceding then we are not losing. And draws can give us a base to work from and build confidence. We just need any player per game to score and maybe snatch a 1-0 win. Livi had Halkett last season who made them very hard to beat and got them points. Let's see how they get on this season without him. It is ironic we paid £75k for a no user like Heaton yet cannot find the cash for an exceptional centre half (for us that is) like Mihai. Fingers crossed it is not too late.

Given that they already know each other, surely the interview could be conducted by video conference, Skype or by phone. It's not essential that those "present" at the interview are actually in the same room, so it doesn't matter one bit that GLS is on holiday or away on other business.

Doesn't mean we've had to pay out the remaining 2 years of OK's contract, or that he is walking away without an extra penny, but there is clearly an awful lot of anger & bitterness at the situation from the way I read it. I wonder how many revisions it went through before the words "that c@nt" were edited out?

From the look of that article, he's clearly held in high esteem by the board and fans at Coleraine, and based upon what we saw of him I can understand that. Based on that article, I fully expect him to make the whole  journey back to the Emerald Isle on foot
