Stuart Dickson Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) I saw this appear on my facebook page this afternoon after a load of my "friends" commented on it and liked it but I've got to say I really don't understand it. The comments on Facebook seemed to all talk about Tom Daley's bravery in admitting he's gay but I don't see it that way. He's no doubt made the announcement to offset some sort of media expose, no doubt by one of those overly militant gay rights groups who appear to think that the only way to fight any perceived notion of prejudice is to force all gay stars to out themselves. I would have had far more respect for Tom Daley if he and his boyfriend just acted like any other couple. After all it says far more about the homophobic attitude of anyone exposing the news in the media than it does two men behaving just like any other couple who are in love.
