bluto
Well.... they did it for Gretna so I can't see that being a problem... and was there not another club in the olden days that got similar hand-outs till it went out of business? Big Jake
Looks like the shares are being sold to Budge today. I wonder how long before they find themselves in bother again.

Drew
Fair play to those jambos who put their hands in their pockets to save their club. They have dodged a bullet for the time being, but, like their Glasgow based brethren, I suspect they like the taste of success (however earned) a wee bit too much, and will be back in the shite before too long. Dibbles old paperboy
If they get their last advance on this year's SPFL prizemoney it will mean they are over £1m down for using it on next season's budget straightaway, on top of the costs of being relegated. She won't be able to get the shares until May at the earliest. There's a 20 day period under Lithuanian law before the CVA can be concluded to allow for any objections to it. Heard an interview on the radio earlier and someone was talking about getting Hearts back to where they were as soon as possible. Does that mean spending more money than they earn to try and get players they can't afford just so they can win a cup now and again ? Lord Pityme
Hertz fans be careful what you wish for! http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/fir-parks-big-society-not-quite-big-enough-yet.24057835 When the Hertz support finally wise up and realise that it's their money that will be used to fund the club, pay off Mrs Budge and her interest..... Before any sniff of fan ownership is in sight they might want to take heed of what's happening to Motherwell... We dodged a feckin bullet not long ago, it seems the Well fans jumped out the way of a grenade, and are being slowly picked off by the sniper! bluto
Looks like perhaps more progress for Hertz? "Jamie Borthwick @jamiekborthwick · 2m STV understands the sale and purchase is complete and Ann Budge is now the owner of Hearts. More to follow. BBCBMcLauchlin @BBCBMcLauchlin 9s Takeover of Hearts by Ann Budge has now been completed. New owner to talk to staff on Monday#bbcsportscot" So, they'll all sail off merrily and happily into relegation on Saturday. Glad to be a Buddie.
