Dalrybud
St Mirren boss Ian Murray says he won't be raiding former club Dumbarton since their part-time players cannot afford to take a drop in wages. (Various)
TopCat
Many of the part time players in the Championship have good jobs outside football along with their part time income. Unsurprisingly, we can't afford to pay them more than those two incomes combined. Edited June 5, 2015 by TopCat
Drew
Seems reasonable to me. As TC says, it doesn't necessarily follow from this comment that we cannot pay a realistic Championship salary.
mad saint 2
we could still sign the players if good enough have them part time would mean we could get better players with cheaper wages we pay them to im,prove squad win win in both casese and we may attract players ,

simondsmfc
No different from Hendrie came in. There was a player (Valentine?) who was good enough to be a professional footballer but had too good a job outside of football to take the chance, and pay cut, to go professional. It could work but would need to be adjustments to routines by both parties which I think would discourage both sides
