FTOF
An excellent initiative. Well done! Apparently he tried to give them last seasons strips, but they knocked them back. Edited August 6, 2015 by FTOF
Nigerian Panda
Excellent Chris, I've managed to get a number of Saints tops handed out to the Nationals here in Nigeria especially when working in Port Harcourt. Last season strip just wasn't an option ..............no way was I even considering buying the top, even when it went on sale at the end of the season I never bought any to hand out. No doubt once I get the new top I will be getting requests from the locals to bring some over. Beats seeing them in various English league teams football strips and of course the old firm tops. The Nationals have actually take an interest in the Buddies .............. bit of a disaster last season but they still wear the B&W stripes with pride. davidg
Whilst this is very nice for the people of Ghana could we not do something similar for the kids of local deprived communities? We wouldn't need to travel too far from the stadium....... Not sure if we already do this or not but I haven't noticed any press if we have. You mean St.Mirren tops instead of bigot brother tops in deprived areas of Paisley ? Never happen !!
Sonny
Hey Nigerian Panda. I am happy to buy a couple of tops in the next end of season sale if you can find a good home for them in Nigeria.

On a similar theme,I wonder if the club could do a heavily discounted ( Or Free )top for the Kids attending the Summer & Easter classes . Its always a pain to see the kids photographed at these classes & hardly a saints top in sight .
shull
No Saints top in sight as there are none for sale. Also there are specialised days at the Camps. One day for St Mirren, another for Scotland and even a World Cup day where the weans can wear another Country's strip.

Sonny
There is a 'St Mirren Supporters' Facebook page where today someone posted a request for St Mirren tops to take to Kenya where the guy is working on a voluntary project. He will be outside the Main Stand on Saturday near the Club shop collecting tops if anyone has any to spare. Maybe all the faulty tops which were recalled by JD could get donated to something like this? Be a decent gesture after the shambolic retail supply. If you have any old tops they can be donated today for a good cause to set up the Kenya St Mirren Supporters Association. Have raided my supply of old tops and will be donating the Clanford black and white quarters version; the Braehead Xara version and the Phoenix Honda Admiral black with white pinstripes version. Sonny
Wee update from Kenya ...... To any/all those that supported my 'Kits for Kenya' appeal, a wee update ... Voluntary project is now in full swing - the bulk of the tops will be 'presented' this weekend to the Chaka Youth Football Project (photos to follow). In the meantime some selective presentations being made - here is a very happy Pastor John - a key person in the charity we are supporting - fair to say he is Proud To Be A Buddie ???? Thanks again for your support fellow buddies.
