shull Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 UCS Trust members have voted to seek to return Clydebank FC to senior football. The ballot resulted in 86% in favour of applying to join a league within the Scottish FA pyramid. The UCS board will now look at different options before a meeting of all members in the near future. scottd Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 I thought Clydebank were happy in junior world. With a pathway now existing to get into the SPFL I can see why they might be attracted as the previous entity was a senior club for 35 years. Quote
shull Posted February 28, 2018 Author Report Posted February 28, 2018 It would be great to have a Clydebank FC back in Senior Football. Karma would be them beating Airdrie United (2002) FC in the Play Off to get promotit to SPFL2 and sending the dirty fecking Diamonds to the Lowland League. COME ON THE BANKIES !!! Quote
shull Posted February 28, 2018 Author Report Posted February 28, 2018 Mind you, has a precedent not been set that The Bankies could go straight into League Two ? Although, Clydebank would have too much class and dignity to go down that route. Quote

Karma would see them getting the vote to join the league after the latest incarnation of Rangers / the Rangers / sevco goes bust and tries to find a back door entry to Scottish football......again. Wilbur Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 I thought Clydebank were still a senior team. Called Airdrieonians now. Quote

They have more money than Serco, just less credit Quote

guinness Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 Went to see them a few years ago. Went over on the wee renfrew ferry they still had a reasonable support for a junior team. Had a bar too. Quote
windae cleaner Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 The only team that took a decent support to the Burgh Quote
Cornwall_Saint Posted July 1, 2019 Report Posted July 1, 2019 It will be a great day for Scottish football when Clydebank return to the SPFL, and I genuinely believe we will see them return one day. They are Scotland’s Wimbledon, and after seeing the stunning rise of AFC Wimbledon, the Bankies can certainly do similar. Ive actually met a Bankies fan down here in Bodmin, don’t see him around too often but when I do we always have a decent chat about the Saints and Bankies. It was him who informed me that Saints and Clydebank partook in the last Scottish game to take place on Christmas Day (as did Alloa and Cowdenbeath). Quote
ClydebankG81 Posted March 5, 2020 Report Posted March 5, 2020 Cheers (from a bankies fan) nice to see positivity towards the club from the buddies 👍 Redeveloped ground, new floodlights/terracing, good crowds and the ultimate goal to return to senior football. The future looks bright 🔴⚪⚫ ftof Quote
Doakes Posted March 6, 2020 Report Posted March 6, 2020 Always had respect for bankies fans. Still take a good following in the juniors and would be happy to see them climb their way back up the leagues. Quote
