Bud the Baker
@Wendy Saintss Quote Ian Blackford, humble crofter & the SNP’s leader at Westminster, is speaking now. He says the SNP has been accused of trying to obstruct Brexit. “Guilty as charged,” he says. ********************** Quote At the end of his speech Blackford receives applause from SNP MPs. I'm old enough to remember when this would've been considered "bad form". Edited October 29, 2019 by Bud the Baker
Eric Arthur Blair
SNP are the best thing that has happened to Tories since Maggie...…………. as they have killed the chance of Labour ever winning another GE Not happy but its a fact Erm, naw. Labour have brought that upon themselves with Brown, Darling, Murphy, Dugdale etc lyiing thrpugh their teeth in the run up to the Independence referendum. The Scottish people used to return 40 plus Labour MPs to Westminster, now it's single figures. They will be lucky to ever get back into double figures. They have no one to blame but themswlves
Bud the Baker
Franchise amendments not going to be put before the HoC - the correct decision but it would have been LMFAO material. Looks like a substantial amount of Labour MPs won't vote for a GE & that it will come down to the 9th/12th.

They have no oen to blame but themswlves It said a lot that straight after Indyref Miliband was already backing off some of the “vows” promised, leading to Jo Lamont staying that Scottish Labour was just an office branch of the main party. It was their big chance to halt the SNP train and regain popularity in Scotland, and Miliband (among others) managed the complete opposite. Labour are no longer a viable option to vote for in Scotland. Pro-Indy, pro-Remain is easy to go for SNP, pro-union, pro-leave would be Tory (or Brexit Party for those who don’t trust the Tories to get Brexit done) and LD have the pro-union, pro-remain vote. There’s not much room to manoeuvre unless Scottish Labour want to out themselves as a pro-Indy, pro-Leave group which isn’t going to happen from a London based party. Sweeper07
More delays and imagine another hung parliament, more procrastination and we have 17 more BEXSHIT extensions Over 3 years to sort out a deal and the monkey's continue to run our nation incompetently, like weans . . . 🙉 Cameron should be in jail rather than on Prime Minister wages for the rest of his life. insaintee
Well wasn't keen on having a December election but actually ok with it. Think this will not be the result that everyone seems to think. Boris is likely to be returned with an even lower majority. although without any tory moderates. The polarization of politics will continue which is hardly surprising when you look at the polarization of our society

There are 10 percenters on either side making a disproportionate amount of noise. The remaining 80 percent are happy to vote and then get on with real life. Wendy Saintss
A vote for the SNP is a vote for a hard border with England, the loss of the pound, the slashing of public services and the NHS and decades of austerity.
