This forum is getting truly awful. You have to work your way through umpteen posts before finding something on topic.

Ah, but isn't this part of some vendetta by GLS against W7? Maybe he made it up to get at them. That makes sense, yes, the chairman and chief executive, both of whom have spent much of their adult life working for the club, attacking their own supporters, presumably to cause division and unrest.
All that is now needed is for Scooby Doo to rip off GLS's mask, to reveal he is really Allan McGraw, and shout "I would have got away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids".

Slightly off topic but what else was thrown onto the pitch from the United end at the start of the game. When the steward was in the penalty area it wasn't visible to me what he was picking up. It was small objects, not rolls of paper.

After reading some of this thread i come to the conclusion that it probably did happen in some form but the club don't know who did it and they are very unlikely to find out. If the stewards had seen it...problem solved, If our CCTV was good enough it would have identified the culprits ...problem solved. Neither happened so what now? What has/will the statement from the club achieve? Finding the culprits? Doubt it! So what do the club do now then? I just think this could have been handled a whole lot better and with out this huge media fuss. The police, stewards and  CCTV were all found wanting and now we're left with this mess. In the real world no-one will grass up their fellow supporters/friends (and before anyone goes into a frenzy, i'm not condoning that, just being a realist.)

Lets get Netflix involved, they did a pretty decent Sunderland AFC documentary. Better quality of picture than CCTV

I think the club are taking abuse from every angle over this and purely wanted to voice their side of the recent accusations of wrong doing on social media, which looked like a one-sided story, without them getting a say.  The longer the club stayed silent, there would be people moaning about how quiet they are.
They have used the Utd fans injury as an example of what can happen if you surge forward and (most likely) to warn of standing on seats could cause the same result in injury.
Whether the incident happened or not (coin and spitting), its a pretty strong statement to release if there is no truth to it. If it did happen and it was one or two who were involved, the whole of W7 would have not seen said incident anyways. The fact a coin was thrown at Morelos a few months back really doesn't do this end of the ground any favours. As i said, if it did happen, its one or two ruining it for everyone else who puts in the effort in that section of the stand every game. I doubt anyone would shop their mate though.

Don't know anything about these incidents but i would suggest if they are happening, then it's a small minority. By all means seeks those out who are guilty but don't label all those supporters in this section as guilty. The chairman himself has indicated it's a small minority so let's find them and get them banned.

We can't keep going on the assumption that an alternatively experienced manager would turn this mess round. Yogi Hughes at Raith, Butcher at Hibs and Inverness, the list goes on were all failures.
Despite picking up 3 points at the weekend, the appointment of Brian Rice at Accies for me, was as big a risk as when we appointed Tommy Craig. Well established coach, though certainly not much experience as a manager.
Chopping and changing the manager consistently is not going to make our club an attractive gig, so you are left with the same names in the pot everytime the vacancy opens up.
People will always debate the standard of the Northern Irish league too in comparison. Setting that aside, the size and rep of the club he built up to be title contenders. national cup winners and access to the europa league qualifiers, was all through patience. Our fans simply do not have that.
We HAVE TO give OK the rest of the season. It's his team now.

    I’m in with this.
Fans are saying Hladky, Popescu and Muzek are all improvements. Nazon is an improvement on Mullen/Cooke too. Magennis will be like a new signing once he’s back too.
Tactics may not be on right now, but Oran didn’t manage 7 years at Coleraine and have them fighting for the league title while bringing the Cup home at the same time. Jimmy Nicholl is not pish either, he’s well known and respected in the Scottish game. Things are slowly coming together. Whether we turn it around in time is another question, but I’m willing to keep faith in what we have.

I know that we're bottom of the league and struggling for form but i think the new players will find form in time to get off the bottom of the league. Bear in mind that we had to overhaul a huge amount of players, you wouldn't even do that pre season in normal circumstances.  Think back to when Jack Ross was in a similar position in the championship, most had us relegated and in that season it took time for the new players to gel, but they did just in time.  I'm not buying into the argument that he's tactically inept we have a huge amount of experience in our coaching staff. I think that it's a mixture of too many player not match fit at the same time and as I've already pointed out, still trying to gel as a team.
I know that there will be many who disagree but i think we're not far away from being a decent team.

Tactics and team selection raising a lot of questions right now. He’s surrounded by experienced guys tho so should at least be better organised defensively with Gus about!

But reality is he will be here until end of season at least. Board acted quickly with Stubbs but we can’t keep doing that. Too costly and what we need is stability.  We may well go down but I think he’s here to stay.

We cannot keep binning managers. Oran is a good guy and should be given time. Yes the jury is out but I think long term he will either keep us up or bring us back up.

Badly need Magennis back as an option. Agree we need a tough as nails no nonsense midfielder who will run through brick walls for us. Are we relying on injured players returning rather than spending? I thought Hodson done a rather good sweeper job behind midfield second half Vs Alloa. Similar minded player needed for that role?
When we lose possession we seem to be all over the place with big gaps forming in the centre of the park.

Grow up. Support your team through thick and thin.
We’ve had worse spells that this. Being pumped 5-1 at home to Airdrie when Fitzy was sacked the second time, almost being relegated down to the third tier twice.
yes, it’s shite just now. But now is when your support is needed.

Yeah, i bet the Partick Thistle fans were delighted to be relegated, to then be within a baw hair of going down another level this season.
This is the reality of dropping down to the Championship. It almost happened on two occasions last time round when we went down. Falkirk are an example of a club who have came close to promotion on many occasions, though have now got to the point that poor finances, has resulted in youth football being scrapped and they are on the brink of collapse if they don't turn around their fortunes this season.
We have the infrastructure of a Premier league team and really should be doing better.

Impatience creeping in and rightly so with results, though unfair to judge a player after a couple of games. I know it's not ideal though he is still working on his fitness and getting back to first team game time.

It is not only too soon but against a very tough Sevco it is always a bad time to judge one of our players.
Too much knicker-wetting during the window and surprise surprise when we don't instantly become world beaters or win comfortably the pant soakers drip right out all over the forum . .
Tansey and the rest of our squad will provide us with the results we need to keep us up . . . When that starts, it will make all the difference.
