I was under the impression we had never been in the third tier of Scottish football 🤨
Shankland scores 0 in 17 that season, for what reason would we have wanted to keep him? Rory Loy came in and scored 5 in 13, what an awful decision that was to replace Shankland with Loy!
You claim he sold four players - so that was solely his decision and not the board? There was nothing we could do to convince the likes of Mallan and Morgan to stay. In fact, selling Morgan and getting him back on loan was outstanding business considering he’d be free come summer.
Development of other players isn’t solely down to the manager either - it depends what’s coming through the youth system at the time. The only guys who’ve come through since Magennis and McAllister are Erhahon and McPherson, who were obviously not near ready at that point. That isn’t the fault of a manager.
Who did he leave behind? A certain Ross Stewart who unlike our current strikers, is scoring goals at Ross County.
And get over this pish about “wanting to leave”, management can be a short lived career. Look at Alan Archibald, one year he’s got Partick to the Top 6, one season later they go down and nobody wants to hire him now. He declined Premier Dundee to stay with us, he declined English Championship Barnsley to stay with us. If you seriously expect any manager to not even talk to these clubs, then you are deluded. Should we say the same about Mallan, Morgan, McAllister, McLean, J.McGinn etc? Should we have denied Kyle McAllister’s return because he chose to move to Derby instead of giving us 20 years service? It’s football ffs, and it’s a credit to the job Jack did with us that other teams actually wanted our manager - when does that ever happen with us? It’s usually is getting rid of them.

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but is there an argument to say that we don't always need Flynn and Foley in the midfield? I know they are both playing well, but while it's very solid and covers the back 4 well, that pairing really doesn't offer much in terms of forward energy or creativity. Magennis doesn't strike me as a lazy player so if we put him in there with one of the other two I don't think we'd lose too much in terms of work rate, but we could gain a bit more going forward. It would also allow us to play one of Mcallister or Djorkaeff, and maybe offer a bit more threat from midfield, and maybe rely less on the fullbacks for our width.
The strikers get a lot of the stick, but there isn't much there for them at the moment.

I can't be bothered finding the link and everyone's probably already seen this but there's a funny LBC (?) radio interview with Nigel Farage where someone called in to talk to him. I'll paraphrase roughly how it went.
Caller: I want to thank you for all your great work in politics over the years Nigel.
    Nigel: Thank you.
Caller: I used to be an ardent Remain supporter for many years but following a monumental incident in my life, I have completely changed my opinion and now support a no deal Brexit.
Nigel (nodding): Hmmm. If you don't mind me asking, what was the monumental incident which changed your mind?
Caller: I was kicked in the head by a horse Nigel.

    Now that was funny.

Don't get you ?  He was responding to a request to moderate his language and behaviour given what had happened to Jo Cox  - I assume you have seen his response, a total and utter disgrace.

In what year did well known St Mirren forum user Shull get released from the sin bin for the final time?

    a)  a date yet to be specified but several months after his obituary* appeared in the Paisley dailly express.

*The obituary would also become  trivia in its own right as possibly the most frugal.  Since the price was £5 for the first 5 words and £1 for every word thereafter, the PDE famously printed "Shull's deid, taxi for sale"

The pie sales at the simple digital arena were unaffected by his demise.

Indeed in close English votes the others can end up deciding the outcome. That doesn’t stop the fact that a majority is 326, and England has 533 MPs - over 200 more than the number needed for a majority. When the English want to, they can decide everything for us.
If votes were worked out on a veto basis like the EU has, then the decisions of Scotland and Northern Ireland would have prevented Brexit. This is why many are pro-Indy and pro-EU - in the EU it’s more difficult to force things upon you, while in the UK  England can, if willing, dictate how things are going to happen.
You only need to see the way that the SNP have been ignored throughout the whole Brexit process, and the complete ignorance of what both Norrhern Ireland and the Republic want regarding the backstop to know this is not a union of equal nations.
Irrelevant now. One of the key broken promises made to No voters was that a No vote was our only chance of remaining in the EU. That has been proven to be bullshit now, and certainly for some people who were in the Don’t Know category, it was the deciding factor to edge towards voting No.

Jack never gives less than 100% and is one of my favourite players of recent years. He is still young and still learning. Plays better alongside a more experienced centre back.

He's not done much wrong tbf,  but if he's out of the managers plans for now, he's probably best playing every week. He's still relatively young and if he can improve on certain parts of his game, he can still be a big player for us.
Not sure how he'll feel about the move. If it were me , I'd try and use it as motivation.

A good chunk of our squad is just in the door. The Hibs game was too early for us...
There are goals in a number of our players, so over time I believe that the goals will come .
A couple of wins, convincingly or ugly against RC and the Hammers and the confidence will build . . .

At some point in the future we will look back on this fiasco and wonder how it was allowed to happen.

    Not so much "we".
    And certainly not the SFA!
That 2012 death was self-inflicted, a suicide, - not paying creditors, especially stupidly not paying due taxes to HMRC.

This ”Hastie” must be getting on a bit if he’s with Rangers.  That club died in 2012.

Funny how the majority cannae drown out the wee tiny minority.
I guess they won't be heard on Sunday as they will have learnt their lesson. They might even produce a Club Banner saying sorry to the decent human beings who attend football matches.
