    Happy 29th birthday Stephen McGinn!

I think Stephen might enjoy a very happy birthday on Saturday.

We always seem to struggle against Dumbarton and Saturday may be no different as they are a dogged and well organised side but I think we will keep our performance levels high and will win this one.

The confidence is growing in the side again and I think the place will be busy and extremely positive on Saturday.

Black and White Army football day out on Saturday for the guys that play at the dome on Monday and Wednesday night. We have between £500-£600 in the kitty. See you in the 1877 club from 1ish for some pre and post match antics. :-)

Get in touch with your fellow buddies and get them down to St Mirren Park as this side are going places. That includes you faraway saint. ;-)

Would love to see a crowd of 4,500 plus on Saturday.

So many things to enjoy about last night’s performance. The belief to keep playing football after going behind was impressive, Jack Baird getting better and better, and it was great to see Kyle Magennis doing so well. The team really do look like they believe this league is there for the winning

Thrre's been spells, early in the season, when it looked like the team had the belief we could win the league.
There was a wee wobble recently, but we still kept ourselves in the mix.
The last 2 games have been massive, IMO, as it wasn't impossible we could have lost both.
To get 6 points, and score 5 goals, shows me the manager has got the players believing in themselves and we have our best players on the pitch. (mostly)
Keep it going, with the other teams faltering we could open a wee gap, always handy when the season get's to the latter stages.
Aye, win this league and forget that play off fiasco.

I thought they (Livi) looked similar to Inverness- a big ,physical , dirty team .

Most pleasing aspect of last night was the return to form of Kyle Magennis.  I thought some of our passing and movement was excellent, and it seems we are learning to exploit space better when the opposition double or treble up on Morgan.  I would say that is the most exciting aspect of this team, the opposition will target Morgan given his reputation now but I wouldn't fancy coming up against Cammy Smith, Gavin Reilly and Kyle Magennis running at me either.
Annoyed at our goal in the first half being chopped off.  Refs need to stop this nonsense of giving a keeper a free kick just because he can't take a cross.
I do feel we need to be more ruthless in front of goal and either McGinn or McShane needs to be more capable of protecting the defence when the opposition breaks.  It was a comfortable win in the end but Livvy did pass up some great chances.
If we can add these elements to our game we should be confident of giving anyone a game, including Aberdeen.  Eckersley is becoming a threat going forward and Liam Smith is a strong runner, which is going to help Morgan and Magennis create more chances.
Just one request - Jack Baird, please give the ball to McGinn if a 50 yard cross-field pass is required.  You are just giving the ball away otherwise!

    Love it.

According to Hopkin, the referee gave St Mirren everything and Jack Ross must have got in his ear at half time!

Hot on the heels of Robbo, looks like we are becoming despised!

A surefire sign of a winning team!

Folk have mentioned it already, but it has to be said that Adam Eckersley was superb last night. McGinn absolutely strolled it, and the forward players ran their defence ragged.
We were strong at the back, and some of the interplay was a joy to watch.
Only real issue for me is that we are still a bit slow to close down in the middle area of the pitch. If we snuffed attacks out quicker in the midfield, opposition teams would be limited to aimless punts that we should be able to mop up. As it is, we leave space to exploit.

Agree, I think we'll score two goals, which means they'll need three to win. I don't see that happening.
Buddies to win 3-1 (Reilly x 2, Smith)

Agree with LPM, let's boss this league now. We've now got our top team playing and should now get some momentum. Stop giving every other team respect, get behind the boys and keep getting the 3 points. 3.0 tonight

Really important game tonight. A convincing win will send a message to our rivals that we are up for the fight .
Hopefully see a decent crowd even though it's a midweek fixture.

I think a game in quick order tonight after saturdays victory is just what we need to build momentum, there have been too many breaks so far, with the players all at peak fitness levels now its games that keep them sharp not training. So i fancy us to be half way through a four game winning run by close of play tonight.
this league is crying out for someone to grab it by the scruff of the neck, that'll be us! Make the least mistakes - we win the league!

Still think the banner was ill judged.

Still think the original ban was out of all proportion and unreasonable.

Still think two months is excessive.

Glad to see a more mature attitude being shown by the fans group who have called off all talk of responsive action.

Glad to see Jack and the players go out of their way to make the fans feel valued and appreciated.

    Swirling scarfs it is then!

Booked three hotel rooms in Paisley for this one. (Not all for me) Feck between this and staying over for the Morton Game on the 2nd Jan  I can almost count myself as a Paisley resident that week. Either that or claim I'm on my holidays.  Feck imagine going to Feegie for your holidays.  Whit's the world coming to.

Tough game in prospect. Livvy have done really well this year and have few good players. But we have better players and we will win . They also have a Ariel threat but I'm sure the Gaffer has had them watched. 2.1 Saints.

In real time from behind the goal it looked like a stone Waller, and watching the highlights back on confirms that. The Inverness defender just completely body checks Morgan using excessive force as he is bearing down on goal. It would have been absolutely ridiculous if the ref had not given it.  For Robertson to say that that is not a penalty and a fair challenge is just crazy and I guarantee he would have been absolutely screaming for it to be given had it happened down the other end of the pitch.
