Gunni Thorfason got a reaction from smcc in Alcohol Ban to be Lifted?
If it helps I was working in Auxerre in France the last week and got a ticket last night for PSG v Napoli before I flew home to sunny Thurso today, anyways this year champions league and europa league games are allowed alcohol in France ,to be honest the Paris fans are a bit arrogant and aggressive but nobody seemed too bad but then again their culture doesn’t dictate 10 pints on a night out [emoji106] -

I’ve always hated the walk of shame across the row mid game, but at 51 my bladder is the size of a pea now -

I think there is a place for it, you will have people that are enjoying the social occasion of going to a game and will take maybe one or two drinks in a stadium. The hard core football fan will baulk at the stadiums pricing and do his pre drinking at a local pub as normal, personally I use the 2 hrs around seeing st.mirren as respite before drinking loads later -

Gunni Thorfason got a reaction from BigYardsAndBasher in Our Golden Era 1977-1987
Fantastic time for the team and it coincides with when I first went,my dad took me down from Thurso for my first game in 1977,I saw every heartbreak semi and (3 in a row and a league cup) great win in 87 but as a fan who only manages maybe 6 or 7 games a year now my hat goes off to all that weren’t lucky enough to see these games but still stick with the cause especially the lads that had to endure the 90s,I salute you all the old and the new,and us all after a slow start this year keep the faith

Gunni Thorfason reacted to Hendo in What Now For Alan Stubbs
Normally, when a manager is sacked, there will be interviews with players saying they are gutted and let him down. This time, none of that. Interviews have all indicated, reading between the lines, that they're glad to see the back of him. Even one of his own signings, Josh Heaton, said it didn't bother him at all Stubbs going! I really do wonder the level of what was going on there.

If not do we have any centre halves with a frustrated striker in them ‘a l’a Paul Warhurst during his Sheffield Wednesday days [emoji3] I know sorry pointless post just beginning to clutch at straws now.

Gunni Thorfason got a reaction from pod in Aberdeen v St Mirren Bet Fred Cup
Correct, there will be a few sore ones this year which is just in accordance with moving up a level,we had a massive transition period over the summer,if we play livi,st.johnston,Motherwell etc and still can’t compete then maybe get worried,we had a great year last year and try and enjoy this,I think we all thought realistically stay up is the main remit this year,we are only two league games in let them try and get a foothold before the panic starts

Gunni Thorfason reacted to Isle Of Bute Saint in Safety Of Our Fans
I'm sure fellow SMISA members must be concerned about the holigan element surrounding Rangers fans this season. At Aberdeen a glass bottle just missed a child inside the stadium. Huge street fights against Wigan. Croat 2 fans stabbed mid week. A young female Saints fan hit with a bottle. Various missiles thrown at Saints fans. Our fans attacked leaving the stadium. They have a holigan element hell bent in causing trouble this season. Surly Saints fans must feel safe in their own home. They must be given the away end only . Hope fellow SMISA members add their tuppence worth with this brought at a forthcoming board meeting.

Gunni Thorfason reacted to W6Saint in Speculation Thread
Stevie bloody May!
First people thought we had £100,000’s to spend on Shankland, now this. Why would May leave the 2nd best team in the league and come to a newly promoted team? Why would Aberdeen let him? How could we afford his wages which are most likely double (or more) our top earner?
Some people live a fantasy.

My favourite was the 6-2 against hearts 2nd game of the season which did far more damage than Walter Kidd did at the end of the season
