I'm pretty sure the final ST count will be healthy enough.
If I was a Dunfermline or Utd supporter , I think I'd be more concerned about another season in the Championship.

St Ricky has been pushing for a big increase in Season Tickets and expounding the benefits this would create for the club.  What about the benefits to the Fan? Why does anyone buy a season ticket and what are the benefits to them?

9 days left and in the words of the clash
“Should I stay, or should I go????”
Yes, it’s nearly time for the early bird season ticket renewal. It’s not really a question of whether I renew it or not. That’s a given. Jack Ross and Gavin Reilly may also be pondering the question “should I stay, or should I go” but essentially, they are just employees of the club who might work hard and do a great job but it’s still their occupation not their hobby and whether they stay or not, I shall chose to plough all my hard earned cash into something I want to do and not something I have to do.
A Season ticket is like a passport or a permission slip. It tells the wife match days are mine and I won’t be going shopping, sight seeing or undertaking any DIY projects on said days. It reduces nagging, huffs and football widow tantrums because once she knows the season ticket is paid for there is no point in fighting it. She just changes tac and exploits the feck out of match day expenses which costs me a fortune, but I get a nag free season.
The game is only 90 minutes in the middle of a match day which is usually full of fun, travel and adventure. I get to travel up, down and across the country, meeting lots of likeminded people and usually having a drink with them. On the trips to Paisley I meet old mates or pub buddies. On my travels I make lots of new friends, acquaintances and drinking buddies. On away days I’m reunited with die hard, like minded Buds. We party, have a sing song and win, lose or draw it’s the day out that’s important. The season ticket is not just for entry to St Mirren Park. It symbolises commitment to the idea that match days are important, and Saints take priority over more routine, mundane pastimes that can dominate home life if you let them.
“Should I stay, or should I go” relates to whether I try to move my season ticket seat which I haven’t sat in all season or try and oust the owner of the seat in the row behind and six along who hasn’t sat in their seat all season either because I’ve been in it.
Whatever happens I’ll be there next year whether JR is there or not. The match day out is a great experience, hail, rain or shine, win lose or draw.
Of course, it’s been great with JR in charge and winning every week and I’d love him to stay but it’s my team and it’s only his Job. So, no matter who is in charge and who is in the squad. I’ll be there.
ST Mirren is for life not just Fergie, Smith, Hendrie, McPherson, Lennon and Ross seasons
Not everyone has the time or means to go to all the games BUT If you can and want to go to the games, get a season ticket.
It stops the clash with the wife when she tries to take you shopping or create DIY tasks on a match-day.
Of course, you may have other reasons!

Really looking forward to seeing who comes in over the next few weeks.
Stubbs record in the transfer market at Hibs was very good, and his contacts down South will be extensive.
Hoping Craig Halkett is on his list, would be a great signing IMO!

Happy with this appointment, a lot happier than I thought I'd be - if that makes sense.
Can see us bringing in someone like Simon Murray - possibly some loan signings from Everton?

Christ, this thread is just a daft carry on, but if you drop into the manager thread, it actually appears as though some have already made up their minds that Stubbs will be failure. Incredible stuff.

I’m not annoyed in any way shape or form by St. Ricky’s posts, even if there are perhaps a wee bit too many, and some of the abuse he gets (not all) on here is just a wee bit OTT in my opinion.

A placid man that’s St. Mirren crazy, where’s the harm in that.

As long as he wins the Scottish cup with us too, I don’t mind if he gets us relegated.

All hail King Stubbs and his merry men.

Regarding Alan Stubb's time as Hibs manager. one reason why he has a good win record is because Hibs did pretty well in the cups during the two seasons he was in charge.
During his first season (2014-15), Hibs won two League Cup ties (against Dumbarton & Ross County) before going out on penalties to Dundee United. Hibs also made the semi-final of the Scottish Cup that season, beating Alloa, Arbroath and Berwick before losing to Falkirk. They won 1 play-off game against Rangers International but lost the tie on goal difference (the season where Rangers were managed by McCoist, then McDowall, then Stuart McCall - i.e. the comedy gold version of Rangers). So there are 6 wins out of 9 in one season that are unrelated to how Hibs were doing in the league. Their league form that season was as follows:
Played 36; Won 21; Drawn 7; Lost 8; For 70; Against 32; Goal Difference 38; Points 70 - Hibs finished 2nd, 21 points behind Hearts and 3 points ahead of Rangers International FC.
At his disposal that season Stubbs had the likes of Jason Cummings (top scorer in the league), Dominique Malonga (joint 4th top scorer), Lewis Stevenson, Scott Allan, Dylan McGeoch, Fraser Fyvie, Sam Stanton, Farid El Agagui.
The following season, the aim once again was to win promotion back to the premiership. Stubbs' record in the league was identical to the previous season except their goals for column was inferior as was their goal against. This time they finished 11 points behind Rangers and finished on the same points as Falkirk but with a worse goal difference.  Once again they lost out in the promotion play-offs at the semi-final stage (this time to Falkirk). Once again they were in good form in the cups, losing the League Cup Final to Ross County having beaten Montrose, Stranraer, Aberdeen, Dundee United and St Johnstone en route to Hampden.  The same season they also won the Scottish Cup beating Rangers 3-2 in the final. 10 wins that season came in the cup with another win against Raith Rovers coming in the promotion play off quarter final.
In addition to the squad the previous season Hibs signed John McGinn, Liam Henderson, Darren McGregor, Islam Feruz, Kevin Thomson, Tony Stokes during the season and still couldn't get out the Championship!

Have to laugh at some of the numbskulls still laying in to Jim McIntyre.  The stats and wider study of his record - which has been posted many times on this very thread - show he is a good manager with a strong track record.
Allan Stubbs would be a very concerning appointment in my book.
