So it's actually easier to buy a Celtic top at our ground than our own strip!
Why couldn't they just set up a merchandise trailer?
Div, the forum might go into meltdown....

Another simple and cracking shirt. Could also be our away top. Or reverse it, I'd be more than happy with black with red pin stripe.

He did play reasonably well. That was because for once this season we controlled most of the game. It allowed Wylde to play to his strengths... get the ball and make runs.
He didn't need to defend very often today.
Defensively, he really struggles and provides little support for the full back. His anticipation, positioning and ability to use his right foot are so lacking that it means he is a big weakness when, as a team, we have to mostly defend...which has been the case for most of the season.
The championship might be the level where he shines. It may be that we take the game to opponents most weeks, in which case he could be an asset. Providing service for a poacher in front of goal.
when we won the 1st div the last two times, a lot, if not most, of our goals were supplied from the wide areas.
See how he gets on for the remainder of the season, Perhaps offer him a cheap deal and see if he can shine in the league below.

Here is list of our signings and loans since March 13, when we won the cup. A few get pass marks but generally makes depressing reading. We all accept that we must live within our means. But a small fortune must have been spent on wages for this lot. Surely the little wage budget we have could have been spent on better than this?

Yes, he is a st.mirren fan. yes, he probably is gutted. And, yes, he gave his all but effort should be a given, not an expectation. ultimately he wasn't good enough, particularly given the wage he was reportedly on.
Best wishes to him wherever he ends up and I sincerely hope his injury doesn't prevent him getting a move elsewhere.

Absolute nonsense. What next, moving pavements, pedestrian crossings and bus stops away from road sides to stop people queuing at the roadside? Don't be silly. There is an element of risk in everything we do in life. The more risk is designed out of daily life, the less able we are to assess risk when faced with it.

Re: atmosphere.
unless the club are prepared to really promote certain sections of the ground and initiatives to let like-minded people congregate together, it's going to take a good few years and new generation of fans before a go-to section is established.
love st evolved over decades to the stadium and layout it was. As you grew up following st.mirren, everyone migrated from various parts of the ground; you'd start watching with parents/grandparents in the main stand/enclosure/terracing, then shift together with your mates, before inevitably at some stage ending up in the north bank for a sing song.
Sadly, all those established areas and the folk in them were dispersed throughout the new ground on moving. Whatever your reasons, most folk chose a new seat in a specific area and have probably stuck with it.
Failing an intervention, then unfortunately I reckon it will take the next generation of supporters to naturally establish an area for themselves (attracting a next generation of fans is a very important issue in itself).
Alternatively, there are few other sure fire ways of creating an atmosphere. the team could try playing some consistent attacking fitba. Or give everyone a few pre-match beers. 100% of studies prove this to be true.
For all the talk of apex roofs and enclosed corners, you first need to create an atmosphere before you can retain it.
The reason why away games tend to have a better atmosphere amongst st.mirren fans is because all the fans including everyone willing and wanting to sing are forced together in the same small area of the ground...and a few beers are more likely to have been consumed.

I don't know if this counts but I found this funny. From Anneka Rice (her with the helicopter ass) on her radio show this morning. Folk were texting in with old phrases and sayings they used to hear. One woman came up with her granny's favourite. 'We all make mistakes', said the hedgehog climbing off the hairbrush.
