Its not about the happy clappers trying to defend the team.Its more about hope over fear.Oh sorry that was so last week and we got pumped there as well.On the bright side we will be back on both counts.

I have walked out of games after being pumped silly and not felt as bad as I do tonight. Friday was a fluke and tonight we were utter crap. I have never before witnessed so many slack passes or long balls to nobody. It was that bad. Tommy your philosophy isn't working as tonight we played zero football. Marwood, ball and caldwell are not up to the job. They will not score the goals to keep us safe

Cheesy did ok in spells day. Naismith looks tired , slow and is actually not much of a player but hey he is young so it must be alright. What a load of tosh. Regardless of age it is fair to call it as you see it and he should be the first player dropped

We are actually a really shit team to be honest. Folk will say no but let's look at the past year it has been utter utter shit. Shit tactics shit players and shit management. Also we need to get real Dundee signed proven spl standard players we signed a collection of misfits and hoped we might gel and get lucky. Give me a James mcpake anyway for defence as ours is hoaching

It's depressing watching this and seeing a team who've just come up show real potential yet we've never progressed.... To me that's a sign that we have had our chance and due to lack of investment and lack ambition, deserve to drop.

Anyone watching this game and these three are doing really well particularly young McGinn who should have been our right back . Easily better than anything we have in that area. McGowan too calm on the ball and can run forward. Our team is rotten at present and the sad thing is nobody is surprised. The place needs gutted

My big worry was that we had a bad start. With this the fans were never going to be patient as tommy has been here for three years. It would have been different had the board cleared the management team completely . Anyhow what I think is that we will probably go down this year. I can't imagine ball or caldwell will score enough and I do know the defence won't stop enough. Cheesy and Naismith won't do. Naismith is sheltered from criticism as he is "just a young lad" but actually he hasn't got it defensively at present. Cheesy hasn't either and is an easier target . Anyhow I feel not angry anymore as this isn't new this is what we have become. I'm just sad that again were getting beat all the time. 12 points behind Hamilton and I'm afraid we will not catch them. Saints have been allowed to decline since the league cup win they board hasn't been able to sell but they are still obligated to look after our team. I don't know the finances but replacing well paid pros like McGowan and harkins and mcgregor with Caldwell and mar wood etc equals a big saving in wages. Also having the assistants still playing cuts out an actual assistants wage. It's cheap and it's turning very Nasty at saints and I think after 9 years we are heading for a fall this time

I think tommy was desperate to get his presence back into a struggling team in the hope that he might last an hour and score a goal. It backfired and I really hope rushing him back hasn't did him more harm

You never know maybe this season we will agree on more? Unlikely but I know the manager needs a wee bit of time. He needs a league win fairly soon though. Agree?

Really poor first half and in general it wasn't very good tonight but tommy deserves credit for changing it at half time and our play was much more direct in the second half. I will take the win but I worry about naismith and Marc I think they are looking increasingly vulnerable. Anyhow let's be happy we're made it through despite playing well below par. I just hope we can get up to speed in the next game on sat.
