Heard a lot of discussion at game today about wither people would renew season ticket or not depending on what division we are in. Im a true supporter and regardless of what happens I will be renewing mines and my families. Is that not what you are meant to do? follow your team through thick and thin? Hope most of you agree?

Well I was right on the first 2!!! And I stuck a wee quid on Thommo to score 2 or more at 9-1.
    fookin lets!!!!!!
Today was the sort of game that reinforces why I am a fitba fan, all the shitty days fade away when you get a performance and comeback like that. At 2-0 I did think it was over, I felt sick in the pit of my stomach of what was to come in future weeks.
Thommo scores and you think right right c'mon, the fear subsides a bit.
PENALTY - somersaults in stomach - score - just relief, excitement, happiness and still a dodgy stomach. Blow the whistle we'll take the point - I'm sure a lot of us were thinking that!
GOAL - mayhem absolute mayhem - haven't celebrated a goal like that since the cup final.
Then the agonising last mins of the game..................but it all works out.
    MAGIC JUST F**KIN MAGIC.

What's your problem with what I posted? After the Hillsborough tragedy there was much anger and debate about the press reaction (The Sun), the role of the police, the fact that Forest (with far fewer fans) were allocated bigger stands, the fencing, the general layout of Hillsborough, the 'drunken' hordes of Liverpool fans, the gates being flung open to let a rush of fans flood in, no stewards ushering fans to the two end pens.... Etc, etc.
All discussed while 96 people were dead and families were in shock and grief.
One unsavoury aspect following this tragic incident was discussed too. I genuinely don't get your reaction. I do agree it is time to let it lie, but I really don't see it as being any way disrespectful to the victim or his family. I guess that every time I drive past this loyalist paramilitary shite I'll just need to accept it.

I was advised to do the same thing once but I seldom do it and to be fair I've seldom regretted it too. Sometimes it's good to display your genuine anger.
I didn't see yesterdays posts but I am really uncomfortable with the fact that someone at the club can contact a web master of an unofficial website and demand that articles or posts be removed. I can see Div's point on protection for the forum user but I would have thought that a better course of action would be to contact the individual making the post and ask them if they are prepared to waive their anonymity in order to have the post remain in the public domain - perhaps along with a reminder that if they are making unsubstantiated claims that they may be exposing themselves to legal action from the club.
I'd hate to think that a genuine whistle blower who risks their career to get some important information out to the fans, would find that their channel is cut off because the club is dictating to the supporters website what material can be displayed and what can't.

I am a diehard Saints fan but have struggled to motivate myself to go to many games over the last few years mainly because when I do its total turd. The games I have enjoyed are obviously the glory hunting cup runs but also the nail biting excitement and big crowd atmosphere/tension of the relegation deciders. Whilst perhaps a financially precarious situation I would quite look forward to the playoffs. Even if we go down I also think Title/promotion deciders against Rangers and Hearts will be far more exciting than Ross County away.
So keep Danny Lennon and lets get to the playoffs ! I can't see any real downside !

He's an Aberdeen player that can't get in their team, is on loan with us, and shat himself at Tannadice on Saturday. Jumping around in a suit on an Aberdeen cup winning podium when he had fcuk-all to do with it and the shite stains are still difficult to remove from his St Mirren shorts?
Fcuk off Magennis. Just my opinion.

    Carnage on here as predicted.
If we do go down (and we're miles from that stage yet), it looks like some are determined to have a complete mental breakdown in the process.
I always thought that when things go tough, that's when you displayed the characteristics of a man or a woman - you got your head down, remained focussed and got stuck in until the end was CONFIRMED.
In a perverse way, being close to disaster is what makes a man (and I can only speak for myself being a man actually brings you to life. Every sense focusses on what's needed next and that is attempting to get something of of Celtic in the next game.
So you'll forgive me if dno't want to wander around like an aristocrat from the 1910's wailing "woe is me" and making excessive use of smelling salts and my fainting chair.
Honestly folks, get a fecking grip and man up.

She was a reformist who was in charge of the UK during some of our darkest times. The constant threat of nuclear war and the regular disruption to every day lives by Unions who were completely out of control added to the fact that her government inherited a council housing stock that was in the most part unfit for human habitation.
She turned it around, taking on the USSR head on - beating them not with guns and bombs - but with her ferocious personalty. The population of the USSR were so taken with this powerful lady Prime Minister that they didn't just start to scale down the number of nuclear weapons that they had pointed at us, they actually surrendered to Western Ideology ending Communism in the Eastern Bloc. She took on the Unions and won with such a determination and force that the Trade Union movement has never been able to regain the kind of unfettered power to adversely affect our collective lives, and she sold off the Council Housing Stock providing those, even those on low incomes, with a Right To Buy that would allow them to take ownership of their own homes.
She is a national treasure, she was a fantastic leader and she deserves to have her own memorial day.

well, I am very positive and happy tonight. That is despite major farming problems and troubles galore.
Don't care about "Lennon out" or who's crap and who's naw crap and that if Boyd had scored instead of hiiting the inside of the post it would be different....just delighted the St Mirren won today.
Took my daughter to the local pub for darts and fun chat and a half pint of lager for her....now home for a couple of beers to celebrate a rare win for St Mirren.

Nice of you to say, but I cant take credit for organising it, I was just asked to pass on the info, But I knew the doom merchants would be about, every time someone try's to do something for the club, there is always someone wanting to have a pop at them, are these people really St,Mirren fans, To slag off your own fans and the club your suppose to support is despicable, God only knows what kind of kick they get out of it. They said that last thing they organised something for the club it would be doomed to failure and made £4000, They slagged of the golf day, ended a cracking day for players and fans and raised £2000, so if these so-called fans can do better get involved instead hiding behind a keyboard slagging off decent people trying their best for a club they love,

I agree with the sentiment here and actually loved Hutton's piece, however, I remember the last two relegations clearly and neither felt particularly good.
Yeah, we're a wee club that will have its ups and downs but if we can see one of those downs on the horizon and do something to stop it happening then shouldn't we?
When we dropped out of the original Premier Division I didn't think there was anything that could be done. We were rubbish and the writing was on the wall throughout that season. When TH took us down we were all screaming for Big Yards to be let loose through the middle and by the time he woke up to it and we won some games it was too late ( and that cheatin 'c**t Main sent us down)!
Thing is, I still believe we have enough about us to get out of this but we need a result soon. Momentum is everything in sports and Lennon was responsible for us losing the momentum we had at the tail end of the year with his inexplicable personnel decisions v Hearts.
We need to get a settled formation that plays people in their proper positions and provides us with an opportunity to get forward and score goals and he needs to get some fire in his belly and motivate this bunch (who are the real problem BTW) to get the results necessary between now and the end of the season.
Relegation would be a f**king disaster this year as we'd stand next to no chance of getting out of that league next year with a stronger Hearts and Sevco in it.
Changes need to be made or changes need to be made.

You had to mention Newton didn't you! Jeez, I'm angry enough without being reminded that he starts EVERY week, despite not having played well for 6 months. What a joke. Our club is a joke, the board are gutless bastards, the manager completely out of his depth and the players apathetic. Can someone collectively pick up our beloved club and shake the f**k out of it?
