Rangers performance showed enough for me to believe that we’re picking up again 

Going for Van Veen was ambitious but also risky. I'm sure our club made the best offer it could for him without over-stretching the budget restraints.
I'd rather miss out on the player than pish money away by gambling on a player who seems to have been out of form in the last 6 months.
