I'm not a St Mirren supporter and I'm not a local. My community won't benefit from a SMiSA / GLS takeover of St Mirren. I am however in for £25 per month backing community ownership of the club I grew up supporting on the understanding that now St Mirren will properly work with and support their local community. So yes you are right....people like me.

Thought that was excellent q&a Gordon finally elaborated on his ideas and mentioned a great idea of working with other clubs in other countries where you could potentially use your season ticket and also have joint sponsorship / kit deals , endless opportunities their.. He also mentioned working closer with Glasgow airport and airlines providing sponsorship and commercial opps which is a must in my opinion given our proximity. In my opinion huge airlines such as Emirates and United could be approached to sponsor the dome or stadium roofs ( they take off over it every day )
Another key point was that as their is no loan in place yet ( supporters direct bank or two potential social lenders being the favoured option once that gets up and running ) the current board have agreed to staggered repayments of 5k a month until that is in place

Unfortunately not, living in Australia makes it a very expensive proposition lol, but if I'm up early enough I'll be watching the periscope feed

Slightly off track but following on from above, its incredible to think that Scotland were ranked 2nd in the UEFA rankins in 1970 with only England ahead of us.
Of course this was more or less all down to Celtic who were then ranked the number one club in Europe with Rangers down in 24th position, Aberdeen 35th, Kilmarnock 42nd and Hibs 50th.
It would have been interesting if there had been a table in 1967 as Scotland would surely have been miles out in front back then.

Renewed my season ticket tonight for myself and the 2 kids. 25th season as a season ticket holder. Mad! Roll on another year of abject misery but we love it.

Seat argument has been done to death and will run on indefinitely as it evokes strong feelings.
Personally speaking, a bigger incentive for a season ticket is the fact that I can't just turn up on match day... go to a turnstile... And gain entry.
My illness of lazybasturditus makes walking half way around the stadium needlessly on match day a turn off!
It seemed so much easier to go to a game of football in the olden days!

I retweeted and shard on twitter and facebook same as many others. However this is still only being seen by a small amount of people, most of whom have already committed. We need to hit other fans who may be undecided or in the dark. Would it cost much to put a bit in the national papers?

For me it boils down to three options.
1. Continue with the status quo with the club up for sale, but no buyer being found.
2. The club to be sold to a consortium or an individual, who has no connection with St.Mirren, who may or may not offer some form of fan involvement?
3. Sign up to a bid which guarantees some level of fan involvement, with people that have St.Mirren's interests at heart, at the helm of the club
I suppose I'm probably oversimplifying matters, but I don't realistically believe that there will be any other options that will be much different from these options.
Unless of course, I win the lottery.

Its disappointing that some people on here just continually complain about what the campaign says / what it doesn't say and still prevaricate as to whether they will sign up or not.
Everyone does not need to know everything upfront. People need to sign up and once the sale goes through, that's when the changes need to happen and that's when SMISA will work through that with Gordon.
If the sale does not go through and we are lolling about in the nether regions of the champoinship, simply do not come on here saying we need change, that ship will have sailed.

Signed up (from Kentucky, USA). Don't expect I'll make so many games but what little I can do to help from over here. I'll spread it around and all that.
Has anyone done anything on the crowd-funding side of things? I know the main core of support will come from fans of the club, but can't underestimate the almost random support some of these things get from all over the world. There's quite a lot of lower-league supporters in the US who are very pro fan -owned clubs (basically a push-back to a closed league like MLS which is essentially a corporation with franchises). Would only take a few to throw in to add some weight. Every little helps.
I'll continue to tweet and re-tweet stuff and see if I can find any traction with my own folk (I have a small following on Twitter because I'm the Head Researcher for Football Manager for MLS)....if some of those can retweet etc....

You way some people go on you'd think we suddenly turned into Barcelona after the January window.
In the real world, we didn't, we remained a pretty poor side. Results improved against the likes of Alloa, Morton and Livi and performances got a better from a very low level under Murray. However, we never beat any of the top 4 and in several games we were extremely poor.
If we are going to be challenging at the top end of the league next year, we need to improve. And if we are going to improve, we need to get in forwards who can actually score goals on a regular basis.
Clarkson made 20 appearances for us and Motherwell last season, and scored 1 goal, not good enough in anyone's language. For that reason I hope he's only used as cover as I don't think he's good enough to be a regular starter for a team at the top end of the Championship.
