Although I am not a member, my experience of doing stuff for SMFC makes me sure of one thing. The folk behind it have worked hard, will have faced setbacks and frustration, criticism and online scorn.
Fair play for battling on and getting it done. I will never slag a Saints fan for getting up and having a go.
Hope the flooding isn't serious, not after everything to get so close to opening.

There has been literally no proof that he is not the answer. He has taken the same squad plus one or two better players and has made them an infinitely better team. With no opportunity yet to build his own team, and no pre-season behind him, it is simply not possible to draw that sort of conclusion.

I was talking to a friend through the week who was telling me that tomorrow the 5th March 2016 will be the 10th anniversary of the death of Brian 'Bubbles' Hetherston after dieing in his sleep of a suspected epileptic fit at the tender age of 29. ( I have read some places that the anniversary is today)
Bubbles came onto the scene at St Mirren when I found myself attending most of the reserve home games and enjoying watching him strut his stuff. He was head and shoulders above the rest of the players on the park most games and everytime he got the ball you felt he could do something special.
Just thought I would mark the occasion of his sad passing by starting a thread. Weirdly we play Raith tomorrow on the anniversary of his death and they were the club he finished his career with.
A fantastic young footballer on his day and I will always remember him fondly from nutmegging Chris Waddle to scoring a peach against Morton at St Mirren Park.

All very positive.
Two things probably need mentioned here.
Firstly, this good form has come as a result of building on early wins against lowly Alloa. That is why beating those teams is so vital. Confidence is built from any sort of win whatsoever.
Secondly, the current board genuinely need to be congratulated on making a tough decision to end someone's employment just before Christmas and replace him. That decision was made quickly and firmly and this time the consequences have turned out well. I think credit has to be given to the board for this. Without that decision I have no doubts that we would be where Alloa are now.
