No one is "expecting" you or anyone else for that matter to turn up and watch. It's a personal choice. As for today I have seen way better Saints teams being thrashed by far poorer Celtic teams down the years. Our season will never be gauged on results at Parkhead where any sort of a result should be seen as a bonus. We are what we are and we are where we are so you either accept that and pay to support the club (the club will always be way more important than it's current employees) or you choose not to. I'm personally not happy the way the season is panning out and I'm pretty sure DL will be gone come the summer now come what may (rightly so) but in the meantime I will be urging the team on as we need to avoid relegation either by finishing 10th or better or via a play off. I hope everyone gets behind the team as that will help but ultimately there is no obligation. For the teams sake we need unity in the run in not more bickering and moaning about a situation which lets face it we have absolutely no control over.

A good option, your having a laugh? Why don't we take him to parkhead and throw him in at the deep end!! We need an EXPERIENCED centre half to come in and replace either mcgregor or mcausland because the current set up isn't doing the trick, it's f**king brutal.

FFS this is exactly the panic nonsense we have been accusing Lennon of all season. It's amazing what desperation can do - this guy has no 1st team experience outwith lower league loan spells what we need is an experienced centre half who is fit and ready to go straight into our 1st team. Stop trawling the deadline day coverage we ain't doing any business tonight.

Over 6000 ( SIX THOUSAND) posts from the non supporter. Hundreds nay thousands of hours spent trawling through and responding to topics about a club he pretends not to support. The word obsessed is banded about far too frequently on football forum's but in Stu's case it's very apt.

Not that any non Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co supporter like yourself would have any interest in such a thing or indeed the motivation to post about it on a Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co fanatics forum like this!

That's exactly what RC did when they signed Carey surely ??? They signed a player who wasn't a regular starter at another Scot Prem club.

Fair enough I had wrongly assumed he must have been playing elsewhere btw leaving Brum and joining Utd.
Gomis was a cracking player 1st time round at Utd so fingers crossed he still has that level of ability if he signs. Beginning to look more and more like Goodwin is going to be used as the back-up central defender.

I get that but we have people saying the board should start spunking money we don't have.
People are comparing us to clubs who have huge piles of debt and are still buying players as though we should copy them.
    This is a good signing.
BTW yes it's a bit worrying being down here but it's also made the bottom of the league genuinely exciting.
It's been a while since we had an exciting nervy end to the season and it wasn't that long ago people were complaining about being bored.
If we go down it'll be much easier to get back up fairly soon with the playoffs and financially there is no longer a cliff.
I'm relaxed about the whole thing. It's what sport is all about.
FWIW I simply cannot believe that a team including McGowan, Thommo, Campbell, McGinn, Wylde, Kello, Teale, McLean, Goodwin, Naismith and Kelly will get relegated.

Exactly mate typical over reaction from the usual suspects, all very predictable. I think he will offer something different, an option up front and he can fill in at the back. Good guy to have defending set pieces too. Yes we badly need a central defender (can he play there - he has the physique ?) but anything extra is always welcome especially a full international who is still young and by all accounts extremely enthusiastic and competitive and has played the guts of 100 games in our league. If he can chip in with even half a dozen goals before the end of the season he will have done a job. Think this also confirms that despite him saying otherwise, Bahoken is only back here under sufference and looks very unlikely to feature for us again.

Let's give the guy a chance before we all get on his back.
Must be great signing for a club like ours and getting abused before you even kick a ball. C'mon big man prove all the doubters wrong!

Before the boy has even kicked a ball in the stripes he's getting abuse FFS, you couldn't make it up. Get a f**ken grip and give the lad a chance before forming opinions about how good or bad a player he might be.
What happened to welcoming new players and getting right behind them and showing him some support.
