Quinn was one of our best players last season. It's no coincidence that him coming into the team saw us win more games. It's not Quinn who will be the problem, it will be the absolute f**king morons in our support who don't understand what they are watching.

No it's much simpler than that, anyone who tries to change anything is criticised by the usual suspects.

Fan Council could ask JD to replicate the 1980s 'Anglo Scottish Cup Winning kit' and they'd get complaints that it should have had white shorts, black shorts, the collar isnae' right, the logo is too big, the socks should have hoops at the top, the socks shouldn't have hoops on the top, it looks cheap, the stripes aren't the right thickness, the white bits are too white and the black bits urnae' black enough.
I think they've done a fine job with the design. It isn't supposed to be a 'normal' St Mirren strip. It is a one-off homage to a famous cup victory. Me? I am just happy to learn the spelling fcuk-ups look limited to the initial mock-up shirt. That would have been a whopper of a fcuk-up.
Seems to me a lot of the criticism is of a personal nature, directed at individuals and the kit is being used as a device to direct those criticisms.

My old man went out to buy a newspaper one morning and dropped down dead in the street. When I got told at work that day by the HR manager I said to him "Oh, right. Is it okay if I go home then?". Later on I was talking to one of my cousins and having a right good laugh with her. My dad taught me the pipes and at his funeral I played as he was lowered into his grave. I smiled and chatted to people at the gathering afterwards, having another good laugh with family in the pub later.

Once it was all over and everyone went their separate ways then I broke down in floods of tears, and had sporadic moments thereafter for quite some time.

However the husband of Jo Cox wants to deal with this issue is entirely up to him and any criticism is, as far as I'm concerned, somewhat unfounded. To then get into petty mudslinging and end up trading personal insults goes beyond the pale.
