Responsible for all cleaning etc. Then my mothers generation said "feck that" and went out to work. The men gave up trying to stop them. But resorted to cracking jokes about them instead to undermine their confidence. They justified this by calling it "banter" and swore blind the women were "laughing too". For many women this subtle sexist undermining worked and they returned to their kitchens. Not this generation of girls though. They are tougher, braver, more educated and won't take shit from men. They will make formal complaints, take to the airwaves and expose this sort of abuse until men realise it has to stop. Which is exactly what is happening. A high profile man has now been censured for misunderstanding what "banter" is. Banter is laughing WITH someone. When you are laughing AT someone it's called bullying. Men are learning.
