David Mc
So pretty everything then. Reminds of the England football team. Utterly unable to develop players with vast resource available. Ballance from Zimbabwe and Robson Australian. Maybe they need to find new South Africans. Next captain Eoin Morgan - Irish.

Bud the Baker
Can't see England winning with that bowling attack so they've got to be looking to bat for the best part of two days when they do get in - Dhoni has a reputation of being over cautious as a Test Captain but if I was him I'd go for it - two or three quick wickets and there'll be consternation in the England dressing room. What moron posted that? England's bowlers seem to have done well enough over the last Test & a half!

FTOF
It's the Paisley Derby tomorrow.Ferguslie v Kelburne at Meikleriggs...kick off 12:00. Indeed. First (Kelburne) versus second. Could have a major bearing on who wins the league. Looks like a rain free Saturday, so should be a good game. I won't see it from Motherwell though................................... Ferguslie won by three wickets, after chasing down a total of 121 by Kelburne. Ferguslie now top of the league. And a big well done to an excellent bowling effort by England in their thrashing of India.

RickMcD
India 148 v England 62-0 A very good day for England. Let's hope they bat sensibly in the morning and accelerate in the afternoon. They are in a strong position but it's England. You just never know.
Bud the Baker
One of the great turnarounds - that's the beauty of a 5 Test Series. England's home advantage eventually told in the third Test followed by India collapsing in the final two. Jimmy Anderson moves closer to being England's all time record wicket taker and Alistair Cook has had a reprieve as Captain (fortunate to be dropped on 15 in the first Innings at Southampton he could have done with an extra 5 to complete his century) but unless he can improve his own form and continue the upsurge in the teams then the calls for his replacement will reappear. Bud the Baker
4th ODI between England & India with the tourists 2-0 up with one game rained off. India back at No.1 in the One Day rankings should complete the series win today then we can all focus on trashing Alastair Cook and England's impending disaster at the world cup if he's not removed from the One Day team. ********************* India win by 9 wickets with 19½ overs to spare - I don't know what the odds were but today's game was as close to free money as you'll get. Kevin Pietersen's contract with the ECB ran out yesterday and his autobiography is due out next week, the rumours are he's gonna dish the dirt on all those he's fallen out with over the years - could be longer than the next Game of Thrones instalment! Reynard
Pietersens interview in the Tele today is quite interesting to say the least. Matty Prior singled out as a bit of a tormentor in chief.

Bud the Baker
Pietersens interview in the Tele today is quite interesting to say the least. Matty Prior singled out as a bit of a tormentor in chief. Aye the fallout has been quite interesting - not much support from erstwhile teammates but some tacit acknowledgement of others ganging up on him by Alec Stewart and backing from Ricky Ponting and Graeme Smith who captained Australia & SA while KP was playing for England. ***************** Another of KP's ex-teammates Steve Harmison getting his slice of the pie in The Grauniad - not exactly backing KP's version of events but certainly supporting the view that the England dressing room was a pretty cliquey place. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/oct/12/steve-harmison-backs-kevin-pietersen-england-bullying-claims Edited October 13, 2014 by Bud the Baker
