Is that Killie spending big again so soon after clearing their debts ? Don't fret we have things "Bubbling Away" although the way we have been in recent transfer windows its probably a big pot of soup.

shull
Michael McGovern has left Falkirk and joined Hamilton Accies. Kevin Cuthbert leaves the Accies and has so far joined nobody. He's a decent goalie who we should sign as we need four, just in case.

shull
Kilmarnock looking to sign David Goodwillie. He'll not be cheap. How can they afford the likes of Hamill and Goodwillie on their small attendances ?
pozbaird
The answer is that Kilmarnock cannot afford Hamill and Goodwillie. However, they certainly cannot afford to get relegated, so they will plunge in and speculate that these types of players get them a Top 6 season, thus justifying the initial risk. It's a gamble... The same way St Mirren gamble. We gamble that without signing guys like Hamill and Goodwillie, we scrap our way to safety. It's a different method of gambling, that's all. shull
Sporting Lisbon have signed Dundee United's Ryan Gauld for 3 million quid. The deal is ' Jim McLean style ' 6 year contract.
saint in exile
Fantastic deal for United and Gauld - hopefully Gauld can improve and become a great player for Scotland. At the same age John McGinn was a major part in St Mirren winning the League Cup. Gauld has won nothing in the game aside from some media praise. If John could add some more goals to his game this season, then perhaps we could sell him on for a decent amount. That has to be the way forward for a club the size of ours. With a 60 million sell on clause apparently. Wonder how much of that the Arabs will get if it happens?
