bingboy Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Match postponed as per quote from official site below; anyone know why? Is it to do with Aberdeen's European match? The Scottish Professional Football League has confirmed this afternoon that St Mirren’s Scottish Premiership fixture away to Aberdeen on 16th August has been postponed. A rescheduled date for the fixture at Pittodrie Stadium will be confirmed in due course. Quote
Spam_Valley Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 It'll probably be moved to the Sunday. Scunnered. Quote
tambo Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Following Celtic being allowed to play friendlies during the season Aberdeen have arranged a money spinning tie against Cove Rangers Quote

buddiecat Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 its the last day of the sheep shearing season... i would at least like an explanation from the club of why it was cancelled, not just "the match at pittodrie has been postponed" severe lack of communication with the fans, Quote
shull Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 We could play this match on International weekend on the Saturday 6th September. There are Challenge Cup matches that day so no reason why our league game with the Dons couldnae be played. Quote

There are Challenge Cup matches that day so no reason why our league game with the Dons couldnae be played. Aberdeen will have players away on international duty, if there's an Under 21 game on so will we. Plus I'm in Amsterdam that weekend, and I don't think they do Radio Scotland over there. Quote

TopCat Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Won't be going, first game I'll be missing for quite some time... Load of rubbish. Could have had a Saturday at 3pm, chose to have a Tuesday at 7:45pm. Would be surprised if 100 buddies made it up. Quote
skodasaint Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 its been very quiet on here about this game on tuesday night ,think just think we might sneak a wee draw Quote
Isle Of Bute Saint Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Zero points from us in this game. We are going to be in deep shit until Thomo comes back by which time we will be well and truly adrift from the pack Quote
Tam M Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Is it on TV by any chance? I fly out tomorrow to Portugal, would be a perfect first day in the sun if I got to catch the game as well. Quote

TopCat Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 i hope am wrong in saying this but think this will be the lowest saints away crowd at spl game Couldn't care less how many fans go really. We shouldn't be giving Aberdeen money after the way they've treated us regarding this game. Quote
skodasaint Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 we would still be giving them money if the game hadn't been postponed Quote
TopCat Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 we would still be giving them money if the game hadn't been postponed Yeah at 3pm on a Saturday, which suits far more fans and means more could go without taking time off work. The fact they've moved it for no obvious reason to a fecking Tuesday night means they don't deserve any of our money. Quote

Bud the Baker Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 It was around time last season that DL changed things about for a midweek game against Aberdeen, albeit a scheduled home game rather than a rearranged away fixture, to kickstart our season. Following our (glorious ) defeat to Celtic at the weekend we're still in touch with the bottom six teams in the division but we really need to start picking up points. It's all very well saying we just need to stick with it and the goals/points will come but that's been the message since at least the Dundee game and it's time to turn the talk into points. As ever COYS! Quote
buddiecat Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 still raging about this game being shifted for a "congestion of games" reason, so it gets moved to the busiest 12 days we have had so far this season, the club don't actually give a toss about fans, that is one thing that is blatantly obvious, and please dont give me the weak excuse that we agreed due to injuries to our players - we have more injuries now than then and that was allways going to be a possibility,it was a decision made by the club without any thoughts of how it affected the fans,or even worse with a thought of " the fans might not like it,but who cares about their thoughts" Quote
Froggie Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 I`d like to think we could get maybe a 0-0 draw up there but have a feeling we will lose again and compound matters with another reverse on Saturday. Very dark days indeed.Have been to only one match ( v Hamilton)so far and had vaguely considered going last Saturday until I saw they had increased the entrance to £25. Quote
El Gingero Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Sitting in the Pittodrie Bar - The locals think it's a formality. Hard to disagree with them. You never know. Quote
lovestreet Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 What's a formality that cheesy will have a few howlers? Quote
