They Think It's All Over

Recommended Posts

It'll be the first game this season that Thompson has done so, then. For a St Mirren fan, he hasn't been showing much fight.

It's almost sacrilegious to think that Thomson hasn't been anything other than inspiring but I agree with you. Even allowing for the nightmare injuries his body language this season just doesn't strike you as someone who is kicking arse in the dressing room and doing everything to lift the place.

have you been watching us this season

or someone else we can all dream but come on

with what strikeforce are we going to win with the ones that cant score

and defence that cant defend get ready to leave at half time there is not going to be another

GREAT ESCAPE we dont have the players or manager

face up to reality so you wont be shocked we are going down without a fight

knock out were out cant says its been good

poor scorers, yes but you do realise we might only need to score 7 goals to potentially win all 7 games. Just a thought

I suppose it could be due to the fact that he feels he's been overlooked, on two occasions this season, with respect to making the first steps towards starting a managerial career.

Not as many as supporters who have "chucked it" big time so it disne really matter.

This isn't really a "chicken or egg" scenario though us it?

If the players had given a shit a few months ago then we might not be in this situation.

I think you'll find that given the numbers of individuals in the two parties involved, there are probably proportionally more players who have chucked it than fans.whistling.gif

If fans have 'chucked it', it's a direct result of one home league win all season, the appointment of Tommy Craig, some shite signings, a perceived 'chucked it BoD', the silence from the BoD, not much fight on show from a team in dire straits, the timing of the McLean sale, and St Mirren's inabilty to do what Motherwell and Ross County are currently doing - putting together strong winning runs and taking care of their own fate.

This must not, and should not be turned onto the St Mirren support - anyone 'chucking it' has not spit their dummy out because we are not 'top 6' or because we were knocked out the cup by a lower league team, while still doing well in the league. No toys are being thrown out of prams because of a few bad results, or a sense that 'we deserve better'.

Any 'chucking it' has been done because the BoD and squad continually find new ways to boot us in the baws' and suck the enthusiasm right out of us.

Two games to show us they actually give a fcuk.

I agree entirely.

It's understandable that our season has worn down many but it's ironic that supporters blame the board/players for lacking effort when so many have written us off on here and at games.

So when the support don't support it could easily have an effect on the players.

Plenty on here slag off the OF support for not turning up when the going gets tough, another irony.

No blame, just both parties need to get their act together as time is running out fast.

(Second attempt)

So you're asking our defence to keep 7 clean sheets then?

i was merely pointing out that 7 goals could, in theory, win us all 7 games. If you had asked any Ross County fan 7 games ago if they thought they would be unbeaten in their next 7, i dont think many would have fancied there chances.

However, even 7 wins may not be enough for us
