I'm doing an Oaksoft - before pondering the make up of the squad I need to know who the board are, who the manager is, and how we got on in the first 20 games of the season Then I will be in a position to comment / criticise / pish my knickers. nosferatu
Can't imagine Slater coming back to St. Mirren! He left because of David Longwell.

Sergie's no1 fan
Would Samson want to return? Not that we need him anyway but I think he left the club with a bad taste in his mouth?
santaponsasaint
Would Samson want to return? Not that we need him anyway but I think he left the club with a bad taste in his mouth? Sammy off to Motherwell if they stay up,
TsuMirren
Brian Graham and Mark O'Hara could do a job at Championship level, Declan McManus could be a shout and Lawless too. All that said, if we're at death's door like Chic says then we should be looking at the Champ/League One OOC list.
aldo_j
I was told he left because he was offered considerably more money than we could offer. Don't know any other stories. We offered him the same wage he was on, so knocked it back. I also believe he lost his licence, so signed for Killie instead of Motherwell. He was warned not to eat that pumpkin pie..............................
nosferatu
There are a few players in that list who might be possibles. For example Gary Irvine at Dundee is an experienced right back who may allow Naismith to move into central defence. Paul Lawson was at Saints on loan when Gus was manager. Had a successful spell as a defensive midfielder at Ross County but has been less successful at Motherwell. And of course, Graham Carey. Maybe dropping down a division may be more his level? LanarkshireBuddie
Killie lining up couple players Dundee signed 3 we know what league were going be in recruitment has to start now not good enough can see us in another relegation scrap next season
DLBud
Killie lining up couple players Dundee signed 3 we know what league were going be in recruitment has to start now not good enough can see us in another relegation scrap next season I don't think you'll see any movement until the playoffs are done and we know exactly what league we are in and who will be in it. If, for instance, we are relegated then our BOD will likely want to wait to find out if Sevco will come calling twice next season before finalising a budget. When you add those two home gates to the likelihood that Morton could be in that league too then our average gates, if we have a decent run, could well mirror this season, negating some of the revenue lost from the drop. Indeed, I doubt we'll attract many of the better names in that list. A large number will already be sorted out anyway, I believe O'Donnell is so players around that level may well be too. You then also have the lower wages we'd offer in the Championship, though obviously we could do a Rangers by having a wage structure that's all over the place.
