So much negativity on this forum of late. Very depressing. Can all the negative people please stay at home tomorrow. Even players, if you are feeling negative, stay at home and watch Jeff Stelling. We don't need any negativity tomorrow.
We all know we are in a very difficult situation, we all know that last week was a kick in the stones, but dwelling on that won't help. We need total commitment from everyone, we need to re-create the atmosphere at the escapes at Fir Park and Falkirk not just once or twice but many times this season. We need to save our club from the abyss of league one.
We have better players than the teams above us. We need to believe we can do this, its our only option. And if we succeed, it may just eclipse all the great escapes of the past.

Trying times for us but wish the 'fans' up the back of the main stand would either shut up or maybe take a wee break from it all- constant abuse towards whatever player they decide- today, of course, it was Shankland, but they didn't miss the young players either when they were shooting- we're all hurting and to cheer loudly at a substitution after bullying and abusing a player shows no class. Seriously, what are any of these people getting from coming on a Saturday? We're in a mess but with fans backing the team or maybe just stopping abusing individuals like Mallan, Shankland, Webster hopefully we can march on together- COYS!!!

My dad, 86 years old, got a taxi down, deposited about £20 worth of stuff and got a taxi back home.
I asked him why he didn't just go to the game.
He said he had spent £20, plus taxi fare, on a good cause already today.
    I love my dad.

R1877 reacted to BLF in Smisa Survey
Hi All. As we all know, a majority shareholding in St Mirren has been up for sale for almost six years now, and the future ownership of the club remains uncertain. In recent months, SMiSA has grown in strength - having doubled our membership in the past year to almost 200, and recruiting a number of new committee members. In recent weeks, the committee has started work to investigate funding models through which the fans could potentially achieve either ownership or meaningful representation in the running of the club. We would stress that things are at a very early stage - all we are doing at this stage is gathering information to shed some light on what is and isn't workable. Of course if at some point down the line anything was to be proposed which would involve committing SMiSA funds, this would be subject to the approval of members. With that in mind we are hoping you will fill out the following short survey, in the link below.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FWNJFJY There are two aims - one is to establish the level of backing for the principle of fan ownership, the other is to gauge support for some of the fundraising models open to us. Your answers will be important and we need as many fans as possible to give us their feedback - please share our posts on social media and help get the survey out there. Thanks in advance for your participation!

St Mirren try to be a "Family" club, they want families to come and enjoy a day out, be entertained and hopefully see a Saints win. I for one cringe when I hear some of the chants from our support (and I include those in hospitality yesterday) its embarrassing and needless. Yes we have a family stand, but it's not sound proof.

Firstly those who sit in that section of the West stand are not "the main football fans", they're just fans like everyone else.
I do expect some swearing, " a tad of industrial language at the football" but some people should show a little more consideration to those around them.
Last week at Aberdeen some of the language was dreadful from these 2 guys sitting pretty much directly behind me and my 5 year old son. I'm not wrapping him in cotton wool, I fully expect the odd "f**k sake St Mirren", or "you're an arse hole referee" type shouts but the shouts coming out if these guy's traps were pretty poor.
It was non stop, almost every minute of the game. "c**t, f**king fanny, takes it up the f**king arse, ya big f**king poofter, your maws a junkie f**king bastard, f**k off and die ya sheep shagging bastard."
Is there any need? Do these people just feel the need to be heard?
Should I expect this or should I expect a little consideration from grown men who should be smart enough to tone it down a bit when there's a 5 year old sitting right in front of them.
Or should I just expect them to say "f**kem"?
We did get up and move in the second half and the drive home had a few questions about new words in his vocabulary...

A big welcome to our new Argie friends at this exciting time.Sure there's a bit of a risk but come on,it's got to be better than the last few seasons we've endured.Stumbling along with no money being invested by a BOD who wanted out,a BOD who had lost interest in my Club.To be honest I was losing interest as well,so much so I was hoping yesterdays game was going to be off.
Nobuddie knows what's in front of us so let's give the guys a chance, let's see their plans for the future of the Club.I hope they become very rich men thru their association with us.

Danny Lennon wont be pishing himself laughing at the state of our Club.
He's a St Mirren Legend and has too much dignity to go down the ridiculing road.

I fear that the timing of these events is less then good, but hope that i am wrong
Bye Danny, and thanks a million-it will take some man to fill your shoes at the club

Whether it is or isn't the correct decision Danny Lennon has been wonderful for our football club. A genuine, classy man who had a great relationship with the fans unlike his predecessor.
I only wish we had known before Saturday so that we could have gave the guy the goodbye he deserved.
