Thought it was a missed opportunity last night that is not the same killie team as their first visit to paisley. Defence were good last night thought midfield let killie play too much and jackson had an off night but he has a thankless task absolutely no support. He chased a ball over the top last night the keeper just beat him to it and there was not 1 saints player over the halfway line. We were unlucky not to get a point but definitely think tactics were wrong last night if we are going to go 1 upfront we need at least one midfielder in a more advanced role to support striker

The guy was a decent keeper and a very likeable person but the way he f**ked off left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth

Not too sure how I feel about this along with Potter being included. Samson done well for us, without ever being the reason for putting us up a level. Samson is the very definition of alright for a goalkeeper. I don't think a penalty save in a semi final pushes you into what is the elite of the club.
 
It all feels a bit tinpot just putting in players that won something. Rather than guys that made a proper impact at the club in increasing the standard we played.
 
Hall of fame players should be noticeable for being consistently outstanding, being the force behind delivering the club a major honour or being an outstanding servant to the club. I'd give an allowance to cult heroes but even they need to have properly delivered.
 
Edit to add in 20 years time, I very much doubt I'll be speaking about Samson. He just doesn't tick the boxes for me.
 
Another edit to add, it's ridiculous to add someone who's actually played this season to the hall of fame. Never mind quitting mid season.

I have been working in Northern Ireland this week . Today I was working North of Antrim up to Ballymoney ,at lunch time I dropped into a wee place called Bellaghy for a bite to eat . The guy serving me , hearing the accent enquired where I was from , when I said Paisley , next question was which team ... as usual !  When I said Saints, he looked surprised. “pop your head into that office over there and tell them who you support “ 
Turns out the guy in the office is an organiser for the Belfast youth football group who visited us a couple of weeks back , he was singing the clubs praises , said the youngsters were given the whole package and treated like kings . Particularly singled out TF for praise saying he had the young uns captivated with his stories and enthusiasm. The lads have asked if they can wear .St.Mirren strips next season !!  
At times it is  easy to become disillusioned with our club and sometimes things seem bleak  , but it’s good to remind ourselves we can occasionally do things right 
Well done to all involved.

Northendsaint is well known by any Saints fan, having volunteered at the club for many decades and running a supporters bus all round the country. 
I don't think anyone knows who either of you two are as you prefer to just sit and insult everyone online but would never have the guts to come and talk to anyone at a game.
If a lot of the most committed Saints fans feel like they are being driven away from the club then its something that should be paid attention to.

of this, it’s time both parties sorted this out, there’s no winners here.

Off the back of the last thread, myself and Mattman sat down with the chairman and the SLO in person, and resolved pretty much everything. There were no issues, and we had cleared up which banners were acceptable etc. All back to being positive. The group are emailing the club regularly to keep them up to date with plans to improve communication.
Fast forward a few months and this “incident” occurs. 
Now I don’t know what information the chairman has been given. All I know is that the information he put out in an official club statement was (at best) innacurate. 
There’s always been tension between certain people in W7 and the club, so when false information is put out about the group , you do start to question why that happened... 
If the Northbank group were to wrongly put out a statement saying that Gordon Scott spat on a guy in a stretcher, he would rightly be taking them to court for slandering his name.
Assuming that he was given false info
A- where did this information come from?
B- why wasn’t it fact checked? The statement literally said that stuff shouldn’t be discussed on social media where “individuals can twist the truth”, which is exactly what has happened here with the false information 
C- what was there to gain by further destroying any trust between the group and the club? Why didn’t he approach the people who he knows were standing within 10 yards of the incident, rather than starting yet another war on social media?
Spitting on someone is f**king disgusting, and if anyone was caught doing this, the club are perfectly within their rights to ban that person from our stadium and pass on their details to the police

The club clearly don't want this anymore than the W7 guys. They don't want the police at the ground at all, let alone have the police there filming a certain section of the crowd, it's an expense they don't need. This isn't part of some conspiracy, the police are there, in increasing numbers, off their own backs. It is the police who have serious concerns.
This has all gone very sour and you can't just blame the club for this. Things have changed within the people associated with that area of the ground. There has been fighting, there have been several unsavoury incidents. It's not like it was a couple of years ago. The boys I know who sit up there aren't hooligans, the boys I sat amongst (accidentally) at Falkirk and Dunfermline over the last couple if seasons weren't hooligans, they weren't big tough boys looking for trouble. Something has changed this season and if the boys in W7 want to keep what they had, it's in their interest to help weed this out, because if they don't, they will lose it.

Reading that statement again, I’m a bit confused about why the club even released it. 
“It’s alleged something happened, we have no proof that it did happen, but people are talking on social media so here’s a statement to confirm that we have no idea who was involved or what actually happened” 
Seems like another public dig from our chairman towards a certain supporter. Embarrassing after using the clubs official account to have a “debate” last time
Surely just a simple “if anyone has information on the incident in W7, here’s our phone number”, would have been better? Regardless of what happened it’s a strange way to handle things, especially in public

If it is the case that the club have CCTV footage of several people spitting on an unconscious Dundee Utd fan then they need to release that footage so we can identify the culprits.
It is a hell of a claim to make! I personally find it hard to believe that would happen and nobody around the incident would see it.
If that footage doesn't exist then the club will have a lot to answer.
It seems any bad behaviour associated with the club (fans fighting at away games) is being associated to the W7 group, who as far as I am aware travel on a supporters bus and couldn't be involved in any of these incidents.
I think there should be a proper investigation in to this, and not the sort that is organised by old reactionaries like Oaksoft and Ricky.
 

I hope the meeting with the club and police goes better than this thread.
There are some issues of real concern regarding the way our fans are being treated, principally by the police but also by stewards. 
I was also in the ‘if you do nothing wrong you’ve got nothing to worry about camp’ but some things that have happened to our fans particularly the younger ones are in my opinion completely out of order. 
This issue is far bigger than one individual fan his conduct and how he is treated, by concentrating on this the thread is entirely missing what the real purpose of the tripartite meeting should be.
Some of the patronising and condescending comments put on this thread do the posters no favours at all and only show they are ready to rush to judge. 

First half performance was unacceptable 2nd was better but against an average at best dundee utd side down to ten men.  We could have been in quarter final draw but we looked like we couldn't of cared. The starting 11 didn't look like the strongest we could have fielded not sure why ok decided to go with that team

Well , this fan wasn’t there to witness the “hope” of the second half. For the first time in my life, I left at half time. My eyes were bleeding with what was on offer.
I have witnessed some absolute shit over 50 years supporting Saints through thick and thin but what I watched first half was among the worst I can remember.
I have no issues getting beat, I’m a saints fan.... it goes with the territory but the capitulation in that first half was an embarrassment, Schoolboy defending, inept forward play, lack of bite, fight, guile and organisation all over the park and significantly , lack of tactics on set up... ffs , from kick off we passed to the ref !!
I like OK ,he seems like a decent likeable guy, I hope he and the team come through this but I have lots of concerns over how and when we get ourselves out of this shitfest.
Where is the input from Yoda Nicholl ? Who has stolen the Greg Tansey who used to boss us in opposition teams ? Why can’t we take a f**king corner ....or defend one. Where is the urgency and desire ?
This has been a terrible season to date and today does not fill me with hope or confidence .
