BaldyOzBud reacted to foxbar_bud in St Mirren v Livingston 25th August 18
That was just embarrassing today.
Madsen, Kpekawa, Jones and Coulson were just atrocious.
This won’t be popular but I was raging with McGinn today, lost the ball constantly, pulled out of numerous tackles and just plain hid. For a guy that’s been a rock and a star man for 18 months he chucked it today.
Mullen grafted today, got frustrated and started shooting from anywhere and ballooned two over the bar. He, for me, was the only one that looked like he gave a shit today.

I think the schoolboy defending played more of a part than anything that’s said online TBH.

That was woeful today.
Confirmed what I said on other threads. Stubbs is arrogant beyond belief and seriously underestimates Scottish Football, absolute jobbers from all manor of levels of English Football brought in to disrupt a winning team when they are clearly of no better quality.
Baird and Smith should’ve been started and I think the reactions of other senior players and those players themselves spoke volumes
Dressing room unrest and a manager losing fan backing rapidly already... not good.

Took my 7 year old to his first game as we are over from the States on holiday. He asked why we weren't trying to score a goal

I think part of the problem is that more or less every player that Stubbs has signed is shite

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not Dicko.
I'm a longstanding fan and season ticket holder, SMISA subscriber proud to have my name on the wall + a brick.
Never been a customer and I'm not a self appointed expert in anything. Never smoked or fitted a pipe in my life. Never been a successful coach of a boys club. Don't know the price of footballs or why SMISA are a bunch of gangsters who work illegally and rip of my cash.
In fact don't know what I'm doing here at all. I think I mast be a Knicker Wetting, Happy Clapper
I'm away to lie down in a darkened room away from all you clever folk.
Over and out!!

Took my 6 and 4 year old girls to their first ever game in W2 on Saturday. Elder one initially didn't want to go, but at the full time whistle asked 'when's the next game ?' Brought a tear to my glass eye. And my mother was there too. Last saw Saints about 50 years ago ! She was cheering with the best of them. Rugby-loving kiwi wife is even starting to get it. COYS !

Not a bad wee team at all.
Love Street was for me a place where I introduced my son's and their friends to football and supporting the notion of one town one team...without the slogan.
Great days and evenings over many years but time marches on. It wasn't our first ground. I like the new place. I like the view of the pitch. I like the parking permit and 1877 club. I like the guys in W7 doing their stuff and I like the history we are now building for the present and coming generations as a community club.

Love Street for me is the part of history I enjoy most when considering me following St Mirren.
In this Millennium, we’ve enjoyed success albeit limited ( in some people’s opinion ) but this list, many other teams would love to of had.
99/00 Championship winners
05/06 Championship winners
05/06 Challenge Cup winners
2010 League Cup runners up
2013 League Cup winners
2016/17 Challenge Cup runners up
2017/18 Championship winners
Cheers Soctty
Not a bad ‘wee team’ are we ? [emoji4]

For a lot of posters Love Street was where we grew up watching Saints.
Being lifted over the turnstiles by my Grampa, seeking out the guy with the macaroons, European nights under the lights and standing up to my ankles in piss in the toilets all played a part in that.
My daughter is 11 and she only knows watching us here so this is where her memories will be borne and she’s had a few crackers so far.
That’s what fitba’ is about to me. Generation to generation. The stadium plays a part in that for sure but there are a whole raft of things that will make this place special for the current generation.

I agree with Poz, Greenhill Road is a functional box that I go to watch my football team play football. Love Street was where I grew up watching St Mirren play., I hope one day, I get the same buzz going to Greenhill Road that I got going down Love Street.
The shenanigans (positive) of Josh & the rest in W7 are on their way to transforming Greenhill Road into our ground. I can only see their behaviour and support of the team becoming more infectious and as each season goes by, their numbers will continue to rise as more supporters look to join them amongst the vociferous support that I expect will creep from W7 to W6 to W5 to...
A few good results against established SPL teams this season will go some way too

It's been awhile to see St Mirren highlights in HD and one thing that struck me watching Sportscene was how good the ground looked!
Hamilton were on before our highlights with their raised stands and advertising hoardings behind one of the goals and Rugby Park followed with its ugly pitch and thousands of empty seats.
Okay, ours is a bit lego but it is a proper 21st century football ground with a sensible capacity and the W7 guys are generating a real atmosphere now.

For me it was the 5-0 defeat of Dumbarton in March when it finally felt like home - the place was rocking that night!

The big Dane had 15 games to better Stewart's impressive tally.

Greg Stewart has scored 4 goals in 50 odd games for Birmingham and Aberdeen. If we were interested, I don't see us losing out as a big loss.

Rangers fans also think they are still gunning for 55 titles/think we made up the bottle incident/blame Osijek fans for getting themselves stabbed/think the referees are all against them/other ridiculous notions (delete as appropriate)

BaldyOzBud reacted to Eric Arthur Blair in Saints reserved v Arabs reserves
Well, well, well. Cooke, King and, to a lesser extent, Heaton all had a decent game. Maybe they just need some game time.
Ehrahon looks taller and stronger than when he made his 1st team debut against Raith a year ago and definitely looks like the next of this crop to become a 1st team regular.
