cambiebud reacted to ford prefect in Kibble/SMiSA Partnership Proposal (Merged)
The way some folk are going on you'd think kibble are some spectre like organisation, about to execute their evil plan to take st mirren for every penny and ultimately close us down.
The fact that the people getting hysterical are either trolls, people who werent there last night or have an agenda against smisa GLS or kibble is very telling. Why not watch the video when it comes out? Contact smisa? Do something other than constantly soiling your knickers over every doomsday scenario
Tldr: calm the f**k down and go for a walk

Yes you’ve interpreted it correctly that the attraction for me is they’ll bring expertise to the party.......as well as resources, business acumen, sustainable business model, contacts that the club will be able to benefit from, fresh ideas, energy and also be a partner that we can I hope all agree on are morally and socially responsible. Oh and SMISA will still be the majority shareholder and in the unlikely event that Kibble decide ever to part ways with the club then are legally bound to offer SMISA first dibs on buying their shares back, or even gifting them to SMISA for free. Kibble won’t charge the club for services they provide and are not in for profit as they are a charity.
I could be missing something but I can’t see a downside despite looking long and hard for one. I understand there will be some who don’t share my view and then they should vote against the deal. -

Oh dear. As first posts go, that's a humdinger.
To answer your question, no, we should not sign a rapist to play for us.

Hard to say happy with any defeat but we never defended poorly as a unit. Coming away from ibrox and keeping the goal difference down is fair enough.
I'd have been concerned if Rangers had besieged us and we had led a charmed life but we were quite defensively comfortable for the most part. We're a stuffy side and I'm OK with that this season.
I can only compare to the numerous times we went to Ibrox and Parkhead last season and were 4-0 down in 20 minutes. That doesn't look like happening so often any more.

Another thread ruined 🙄
Let’s get it back on track - FTOF, f**k Rangers, f**k Sevco, f**k Andrew Dallas and hopefully the f**king cunts go bust again soon and don’t pretend they exist again through a third club.

You're right, from 1921 to 1932 when they went bust and folded. That doesn't happen these days.

Why do some posters, namely Top Cat and look at me, have such a problem with Stephen McGinn? He may be down the pecking order just now, but he's been a fantastic player for the club over two spells, and was the on pitch leader who helped us stay in the Championship and then win it the following season. Without him, I believe we would have been relegated to League 1, and who knows, we might still be there, or at best mid table in the championship.
We should be indebted to him, not constantly having a go.

With tickets selling fast it is forecast that we will have sold our allocation of tickets out by the end of sales on Tuesday evening .Unless St Mirren come up with more tickets we will have 1387 supporters at the game not counting the numbers who have booked hospitality at the match that day from Broxburn including a crowd of ex players who have booked the hospitality package .We appreciate this huge support very much and hope you can cheer us on to get a result . The players appreciate the support that has been given them .

Far be it for me to disagree with all the knickerwetters, but I genuinely believe we are only 2 players short of a decent side. Every club in the land needs a strong centre half and a goal scorer/ provider. I thought letting Ross Stewart go was a mistake, but we move on. Our strikers really need a big strong powerful ball winning partner, but so does everyone else. Next 2 games will see where we are

Would it not also be fair to say that with the money in the bank from McGinn the board gambled a (big) bit of it to ensure we stayed in the division.
A gamble which ultimately paid off?
The wage bill rose absolutely in line with our turnover which suggests they are setting and sticking to their budget just as we would expect.
Of the £900K operating loss £350K came from depreciation, we paid off two management teams and we laid a new astro pitch.
I'd contend that whilst it is a bit concerning I don't think it's quite as bad as it looks.

Goodwin will come good, we need stability and a few transfer windows for Jim to get the right blend of players.
