Would love to see a blackandwhitearmy forum gathering pre and post home match. The 1877 never seems to be that busy and reach its full capacity for any game. We have 8000 users on this forum allegedly. Would be terrific to get a date arranged and get 100 or so forum regulars into the pub to top existing 1877 members. Fill the place up, generate some good banter and revenue for the club.

We need to muster up some enthusiasm and togetherness for this long battle that lies ahead. Together we can fight and make the impossible possible.

    Make it happen Div!

PS Get a few regulars in the stocks and we could chuck water/rotten fruit etc at them for a £5 a go. Would wipe out the 1877 clubs debt in one afternoon if certain regulars on here were in the stocks.

Stay positive buds and keep smiling. It could be worse, we could live in Greenock. :-)

Look, IMO we have to praise GS & JR for giving it a real go this transfer window so far (in terms of players out and players in) as this is our final push, it's now up to the management, coaching staff and players to deliver safety or at worst a play off.  COYS

If I can make sense of these ramblings, you're questioning Loy's ambition in signing for St Mirren instead of Morton?

Surely even Morton fans appreciate that, while our team is in deep trouble at the moment, we remain absolutely miles ahead of Morton as a club. Just look at your ramshackle shithole of a ground and the fact that, despite having your best season in decades, you struggle to get 2,000 at a home game. We've been a disaster this season but still regularly get around 3,000.

I know Morton fans are enjoying our demise, and quite rightly after watching us regularly perform at a level that they can only dream of. Morton won't be promoted and this is as good as it gets for them and their 2,000 delirious followers.

I'm all for free speech and all that, but some posters on here are just annoying. They are polluting the board with their nonsense and trolling.
Instead of banning these folk, I've introduced a new area of the forum called The Sin Bin.
Posters who are deemed to be destructive, annoying, or incredibly negative, will be pushed into a new group called "Sinners". All other members are in the "Saints" group.
Sinners will ONLY be able to post in The Sin Bin. They can read any other area of the forum but they are not permitted to post in those areas, they must confine themselves to posting in The Sin Bin area only.
Saints can post anywhere, so if you want to engage with The Sinners you can do so. If you wish to ignore them you can just never visit The Sin Bin area.
If you see the Group "Sinners" next to your name, you've been moved to The Sin Bin.

RichardBuddie reacted to Froggie in USH Statement
In Saints defence, they have been victim of several major bungles by the footballing authorities. Initially in order to get into the top league, they had to have 10,000 seats which required a brand new stand built at the Love St end  and in use for barely a handful of years. The 10k rule was eventually reduced to whatever it is now (6k ?) when some bright spark realised that crowds have vanished. Incidentally as far as I believe, there is no mandatory requirement in this country to have all seater stadia, it only applies to the English top leagues. Our authorities, like sheep, just follow what big brother does, as if it puts us on a par with our neighbours.
Then it became necessary (apparently) to install USH which we did at Love St then again at GHR. This is the west of Scotland, its not needed here generally as our winters are mostly wet. I cant remember any games taking place solely due to the USH being put on. I can however cite a few which were called off regardless of the heating being on or not. Snow in surrounding roads being the main culprit. If its costs too much to thaw out frozen ground it ought to be considered too cold for fans to sit freezing for two hours , so I don't think repairing the USH should be a priority.

How do you go about getting a refund? Bought tickets (in better seats than my season tickets) but daughter has running club and I'm generally hacked off with the whole debacle!!

Hmmmmm. Don't like the thinking trend here bud.
The club has an obligation , sorry a duty, to do absolutely everything that it can to get a scheduled game on. It owes the fans that at the very very very least, irrespective of the quality of game that follows. Hey hoh, let the buyer beware.
However if we are starting to maybe hedge on our commitments to fulfilling scheduled fixtures cos we have a dodgy pitch protection system or an expensive repair looming, then we really are in dangerous waters. For me that's a real low if that is even being contemplated.
I understand the whole USH white elephant farce in the wider shambles that is Scottish football, but if as a club we are consciously weighing up dodging our duties to commit fully to getting a game on then the place really is in a worse state off the park than I could have dared to fear. So potentially the club could find that a prolonged cold spell could see games off every other week !!
    Does not auger well

Agreed, LinkedIn is rubbish (1 level up from Facebook), great if you want to comment or guess how many marbles are in a jar or show of your new car.  It will not deliver us new players...I don't know anyone who has ever been recruited from LinkedIn, complete waste of time and I removed myself from it....

This isn't recruiting a new business development manager or an engineer .. this is about a manager knowing his market and if you think a player found through LinkedIn will improve our situation then I hope I'm wrong and this is a master stroke ... I very much doubt it
