I know a lot of people use this forum just to blow off some steam after a defeat, but some of you need to get a grip.
What did you think you were signing up to when you started supporting St Mirren? Treble trebles and trips to Paris and Barcelona?
We didn't play particularly well, but it wasn't dire either. Killie are a decent team, we had a fairly good game plan and with better finishing, it would have worked. On to Perth we go, it's all to play for.

In terms of this weeks round of matches we have improved in terms of goal difference v Hamilton. I’ll take that. Into the next round ...

Buddy, I take a totally different view. He said the rain was amazing. I think he loved it. And that it a great window into his attitude to life.  Oran seems to be recruiting strong minded life loving characters.

Against Hearts he was fantastic and I ate some humble pie.
He has been excellent. He is clearly better in that more central role. His tackling and intercepting in the middle was key on Saturday.
And the fact he created the chance on Saturday and bust his backside to get into a position for a re-bound was excellent. Watch that run again from Saturday and you appreciate the goal (scrappy finish) even more as it was from determination.

    Well done Flynn!!

What a nasty wee forum we have tonight.  Some real and unwarranted vitriol alongside an unhealthy display of pack behaviour.
Beating Livi is one of the hardest tasks in this league  beating them when their manager has clearly set them out for a draw or to steal a win is actually impressive given where we were  a month ago, however we did it. Well done saints and the fans who cheered them on.

The strength of our squad now and the vastly improved mentality are making such a difference. Clean sheet cause we kept Livi at bay.
Conditions woeful, but we held in there and finally took a chance - we had a few in the 1st half that could have made it a whole lot better - but the win is absolutely what matters...
Well Done OK and everyone involved in today's win.   Well done to the paying fans (season ticket or otherwise) it was a howler weather wise, but at least we go home with a positive result !!
Game on in the survival battle . . .

11 Cup finals? Make it a reality.
Get a trophy for each game. Each time they win, they can lift the trophy for that match. If they lose, force then to endure watching the other team celebrating their success. If it’s a draw then f**k it, just do a penalty shootout.

I have been working in Northern Ireland this week . Today I was working North of Antrim up to Ballymoney ,at lunch time I dropped into a wee place called Bellaghy for a bite to eat . The guy serving me , hearing the accent enquired where I was from , when I said Paisley , next question was which team ... as usual !  When I said Saints, he looked surprised. “pop your head into that office over there and tell them who you support “
Turns out the guy in the office is an organiser for the Belfast youth football group who visited us a couple of weeks back , he was singing the clubs praises , said the youngsters were given the whole package and treated like kings . Particularly singled out TF for praise saying he had the young uns captivated with his stories and enthusiasm. The lads have asked if they can wear .St.Mirren strips next season !!
At times it is  easy to become disillusioned with our club and sometimes things seem bleak  , but it’s good to remind ourselves we can occasionally do things right
    Well done to all involved.

We need to attempt to win every single game.
It is not helpful for anyone to be worrying about what happens to Hamilton and Dundee. It just saps our energy.

Dundee were dead and buried within minutes last night. It looks like failing to strengthen in defence is going to cost them, that's 8 goals in two games.
Great result for Hamilton. Just means its up to us to get the results now to keep the pressure on both of them.

Obviously a daw wouldn’t be a disaster from the pure maths points of view, but I think that ignores the rest of my post. A draw for me will create a mindset of “well if we cannae beat Livi at home (a game where we HAVE to be realistically targeting 3 points), then what chance to we really have of getting out of this mess.
Like I say, taking ALL factors other than the pure maths into consideration, I believe this is a must win game. Just my opinion.

From Twitter: @agentscotland: “Andrew Dallas has been in charge of 12 Scottish #Premiership games in 2018-19, three of those games involved Rangers, he's awarded them six penalties in those three games In the nine other Premiership games he's refereed this season he's only awarded two penalties.”   Ie penalties per game rate: With Rangers, for Rangers: 6/3=  2 per game no Rangers, for other teams: 2/9= 0.22 per game   Dallas’ Rangers penalty rate…  9 times more likely.    I wonder what kind of measures the authorities use to alert themselves to issues that need might need to be scrutinized/ managed?

Paisleyporridge reacted to Dibbles old paperboy in The Tony Fitzpatrick Appreciation Thread
A few weeks ago Tony Fitzpatrick was being held responsible for the appointment of Alan Stubbs as manager and with "sanctioning" all Stubbs' signings. Poster after poster on BAWA suggested our predicament was largely down to our CEO being inept and saying ambitious things to the press.
I don't think it is a CEO's job to OK a manager's signing targets. Tony's job is to get the deals over the line.
Now that it would appear that Oran Kearney and Gus McPherson's work in the January transfer window is showing signs of bearing fruit, perhaps it is time to show a little appreciation for Tony Fitzpatrick. He got 13 deals over the line in the summer window, 3 out of contract players signed after Stubbs got the boot, and has managed to get 16 or 17 players out from the autumn until the end of January and has finalised in a number of decent signings in the January window.
Take a bow Fitzy and don't let the BAWA get you down.

So you say SHULL but how come other people don't think so?  (This is a Rhetorical question - I don't need any answers from YOU)
And why is it your cra*p gets you sent to the sin Bin again and again? (Of course we all know the answer to this one - but you cannot learn, even the most immature can learn from their mistakes)
And here you are with another ALIAS cause you are so desperate for some attention.... I'm personally surprised that you have not yet given your self some more likes from your other Aliases - but you do that plenty as it is.
You seriously have problems to resolve - go on get some help, seriously - hatred of me, Ricky, Doug J etc etc means your heart is full of bitterness - there are far better things than this in life - honestly there are!
Bitterness pays the worst wages AND you are always skint anyway cause of the cost of games these days . . .
I know you love to try to bring me down - so go on, OR get a grip and do something worthwhile...

Massive credit due to Flynn, Tansey and Paul McGinn as well. They've all had their share of criticism, some very justly dished out as well. But they've all been superb today.

What I liked is how every panel member wrote off St Mirren. That should fuel expectation and crowd discontent if we stick it to them.
Edit: I still rembember Hearts fans of that era openly bawling their eyes out on the street (it might have been after a semi-loss to Aberdeen or someone).  They’re an emotional lot ...

They really are obsessed with this.
The English don't miss an opportunity to mention 1966, but to even be fair to them they had actually won something that day! Hearts just embarrassed themselves by failing to get a simple win at Dens Park to win the league. You'd think they would want to keep it quiet, not bang on about it any time they play us
