NB18 reacted to Magic Monkey in Merged: All The Oran Kearney Threads
That was just because they were being asked who Josh Heaton was, tbf.

NB18 reacted to munoz in Rosario YFC and Coleraine
Ooft, that's a sore one. I wonder if the club will do anything to reimburse supporters that are out of pocket? If it goes the way it looks like , its nothing less than a shambles.

NB18 got a reaction from faraway saint in Rosario YFC and Coleraine
Several fans have already paid for travel & hotels, Josh Magennis has paid nearly £1700 for a bus load of fans to go over to Coleraine.
Oran's rumoured appointment as Coleraine boss will apparently be confirmed in the next few days so I reckon the board won't want any issues between our supporters and Coleraine fans

Talk about a step backwards...
Gus was a decent manager at the club, I am not debating that. He got us promoted, won the Challenge Cup and gave us some memorable moments during his time as Saints boss.
But I think we all agreed that his time was up come the end of the 2009-10 season.
GLS said before appointing Stubbs that his priority was finding a manager who would play attractive football & entertain the fans, I'm sorry but the words Gus & Attractive Football don't go well together. -

There was no meeting on Tuesday

Stubbs was Gordon Scott's first choice but he wasn't Tony's pick. Fitzy pushed for Oran to takeover from Jack but GLS opted for Stubbs despite his horrendous record at Rotherham.
In terms of us appointing Goodwin.
What makes you think he would take the job this time around?
We were argubly in a better position when he knocked us back last time.

People don't realise that Oran Kearney was NOT Gordon Scott's pick for the Saints job
The thought of bringing in someone with no experience or knowledge of Scottish Football was seen as too risky by our chairman who opted for a more experienced manager who had made a total arse of his previous job.
Tony Fitzpatrick wanted Oran to replace JR and pushed strongly for him to get the job once again when Stubbs left.
30 days until our first competitive match and we have news like this coming out of the club.
Say what you want about the previous board, at least our former Chairman actually knew how to do his job unlike this imposter. -

If true, Tony is coming out of this way better than Gordon Scott. Tony picked a good one in OK. OK has kept us in the top flight and won over the vast majority of the fans who attend the games. He has been an absolute credit to himself and the Club. A smashing guy who had the courage to take on the shitfest that was St Mirren FC post Stubbs. I believe that with a decent budget Oran will bring the good times back. So disappointing that we appear to be on the verge of losing him. This doesnt make our Board look competent at all.

The fact that Gordon Scott has his boaby stuck in Macpherson’s arse 90% of the time won’t be helping matters either.

Obviously...
Most Premiership manager's are getting interviewed this morning regarding the new fixtures for the upcoming season.
Oran's still at the wheel -

Attitude & Ability...
When Heaton was dropped and ended up training with the reserves, he took the huff and ended up getting shipped out on loan.
Cooke on the other hand could have done the exact same but he got his head down, worked hard and proved many people (especially on here) wrong.
Looking forward to seeing him develop more next season. -

Totally understand but Heaton has already experienced this when he was released from Preston after quite a few years in their Youth Academy.
Considering he was only 17/18 at the time, I'm sure that one was hard to take being a young lad wanting to start his career but he is older now and more experienced. He should know better than to take the huff if he wasn't getting game time.
Work hard and prove us all wrong.
Cooke done it, Why couldn't he?
Comes down to that key word again....

Ability wise
Cooke played quite a few reserve matches and performed quite well. Scored the perfect hattrick against Falkirk U20s.
Heaton on the other hand was simply not good enough at this level. Struggled against a non league side (Spartans) & a League Two side (Queens Park)

Agreed. Vast majority of supporters have massive respect for Cooke to dig in and make good for himself by season end.
He could have taken the easy route and chucked it in. Especially given Heaton is his flatmate and they are pals.
