Again, we have no home games around these matches. The next time we play there the signs will be down and Saints signs will be back up.
If the choices available to the club are the stadium lies empty for two weeks and we get no income and no loan players from Celtic...

Celtic play 3 games there, put up a couple of temporary signs, the club gets income and/or loan players the standard of McGowan, Carey and Cuthbert (all recent loanees we've had from Celtic)..
Then I'm definitely choosing the latter. The most important thing for me is performances on the pitch. If we sign Paul McMullan on loan next week and he scores 20 goals for us as we get promoted next season, then will there be many fan complaints? Will our fans be saying... 'Aye but we shouldn't have signed him cos part of the deal was we let Celtic put the sign up outside our shop..?'
Of course we won't. Footballs the most important thing for me. And this deal will enable us to put a better team on the pitch one way or another.

Last season Southampton started their preseason training with a wafer thin squad. The tweet from their manager of a picture of an empty pitch with the words 'ready for preseason! ' went viral. Many experts and even their own fans predicted relegation.
Of course they went on to have their best season in the Premier League era and qualified for Europe.
In 2010 Kilmarnock didn't even have a manager by this point in pre season, never mind any signings. They went on to finish in the top 6, something they haven't managed since.
In short, I'm certainly not panicking on the signing front.
I will say I was at least expecting all of the out of contract players situations to be resolved by now, and I'm surprised Thompson's hasn't been as of yet.

i don't think Brian Caldwell is the problem at the club. And I'm not sure that making those decisions is anywhere near his remit anyway. i know some of the people you associate with have a problem with Brian, but that is based on their petty gripes about not getting Brian to do their beck and call. The guy is focussed on the bigger picture at the club.
I agree, he's not the issue he signs the players the manager identifies, restricted by the boards budget parameters. He administers the club day to day activities very well and communicates with the fans well also. He has a tough job, limited decision making capacity, mediator between dressing room and board room and running the day to day activities.

If players don't know their position or tactics then that is the manager's fault. What ffs do we do on the training ground? We were all over the place. We had nothing to play for but let a pretty average side tear us a new arse. What has happened to our team and surely the loss on one player cannot explain the ineptitude of the whole team.

Nailed it. The BoD will not like this one little bit because it's not come from the smelly fans. Quite horrendous when you see it laid out like this.

I don't hold Gary Tesle to blame one single bit. He was presented with an opportunity to coach, knowing that his playing days were winding down.
Realising that there was a total clown in charge and being presented with an even bigger opportunity to make a name for himself he stepped up and took over a squad of duds.
He is not the man to lead us forward and he has to go, but I can't lay any of the blame on Gary's head. It was always going to be a gamble asking a rookie to get us out of the mess TC and the board left us in. It hasn't worked out.

For every person that shouts on here about leaving there's an equal amount who are new and jump aboard.

I'm more optimistic today. We have a new management team that have a real hunger to win. They will get the best out of the players we have and I never felt that under TC. Goodwin' last few games are a prime example as is Mallan's early signs of development.

But we need to bring in 3 players today, rather this happened at this stage of the day rather than at 10pm.

Not surprised he has a release clause. That'll be why we managed to keep him in the summer.
If Aberdeen (or anyone) meet the release clause and Kenny wants to go then that is that, there's nothing the club can do. We still have a few hours to get some kind of replacement sorted.
