Drew Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 The Dumbarton website makes specific reference to him coming to us. Would be surprised if they claimed that if it wasn't close to confirmed. Quote

Isle Of Bute Saint Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Born in Prestwick, South Ayrshire, Agnew started his career with Rangers and represented Scotland at youth levels, but he did not make any first team appearances. He moved to Hamilton Academical in 2006, but was released in the summer of 2007. Agnew then joined Alloa Athletic, where he established himself as a first team regular on the left side of midfield and became renowned as a free-kick specialist following his clever free-kicks. In May 2008, Agnew joined Ayr United on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.[2] Following Ayr's promotion to the First Division at the end of the 2008–09 season, Agnew requested a loan spell where he went out on loan to Alloa Athletic.[3] Agnew after returning from his loan spell was loaned straight back out to Stranraer.[4] He then signed for Stranraer on a permanent basis for the 2010–11 season. He then signed for Dumbarton on the 27th of May 2011 where he became a firm fans favourite and won the club's player of the year 2011/12 prize. Copy paste FS Quote
dr rotund Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 I was hoping for a striker but an attacking midfielder is next best. Quote

Isle Of Bute Saint Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Highly thought of by Sons supporters.Certainly has the kind of experience in the lower leagues we are looking for. The fact he was Dumbartons player of the year speaks volumes. Hopefully Scott will be part of a successful team taking us and him self back into the top flight of Scottish football. Welcome aboard the mad ship St Mirren Scott Quote

Lord Pityme Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 See that new scouting network is already paying dividends! I mean you have to admire how we can snap up an ex-rangers player from one of our new rivals so quickly..? How does our new gaffer make these connections... Tch... The mind boggles. On another topic will this become known as the "Summer of Sons"? Or perhaps.... The "Summer of Rock"...? SCENE 4 The tall Irish football midfielder looks at his reflection in the grubby mirror on his locker, smiles, takes a photo of a team celebrating a cup triumph off the locker, puts in his kit bag, turns, walks off through dressing room doors. DISTANT WHISTLING Fade To Black. Quote

Lets wait and see a few games at least Quote
FTOF Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Manager in signing player from former club shocker! Still it's causing the forum's arch walloper to go into further meltdown. Quote
billymehmet1 Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Can remember him playing with Hamilton and saw him play against us for Ayr and Stranraer. He was a winger type player tgen he's pretty small. Technical player. But to be honest reminds me of a jamie mcclusky Quote
