charlie reacted to TPAFKA Jersey 2 in Our 'B' Team
Is this a serious post?
You lost me at Hibs failing to compete positively tonight.
For 90% of the game Hibs were the only team that looked like getting close to scoring. The only way Celtic were ever going to score tonight was from a dead ball situation.
Hibs were far from at their best tonight but they were still comfortably the better team.

charlie reacted to RossCSmfc in Morias
Jose Mourinho couldn’t judge a player in five minutes watching a player never mind a random football supporter.
Morias has done us a turn overall and a lot better than some of the other strikers we’ve had previously. Don’t understand the utter seethe he causes within the support, he’s an explosive player who’s helped us a lot over his time here. I think his poor finishing masks over all that.

Obika is out of contract in the summer as well.
I can see him not being offered a new deal either.
Foley is surely at the end of his time here.
Flynn should be offered a new 12 month deal though.
ETA. Connolly is out of contract in the summer. Not sure about that one TBH. And Durmus. Again not sure about him either. Too many times these two have been hit and miss. If Jim can identify better players these two might well be offski.

He ran onto ball about 30 yards out and just hit it straight at the keeper. How the hell is that a golden chance.
If he’d ran in with the ball as he did in the hearts game, that would’ve constituted a golden chance.
That wasn’t even a half chance.

charlie reacted to Sweeper07 in Hibernian v St Mirren Premiership 23/12/20
Generally that's been the issue - not creating enough decent chances!
JG clearly had a go, but Hibs are a top 4 side with a lot of decent players... 1 nil is no disaster at this stage.
We just have to beat RC next - see Stewart went off injured ! 3 points there and we move further away from the two worst teams in the league.

Was sitting in a cafe saw it was 1-2 and thought, ah shit.
A wee mocha later, 3-2.
So its official, Mochas = a Saints victory. [emoji41]

Absolutely this. There was nothing “lucky” about our win today.
We were rank rotten for most of the game, but we ground out a result.
Not at all sure where the luck was supposed to be?

Last years reports were filed in February this year, and the finance director signed them off in October (12th) So would expect something similar this year too . . .
I think you too are presuming we set off with a fixed budget and cannot budge from this . . . In last years reports the Chairman speaks about how they took the decision to utilise the funds generated from the Lewis Morgan transfer to further strengthen the squad. So we did a similar thing with the income from Smith, Samson, Stewart, JR, JF & Rice income plus all other additional revenue that we generated but never budgeted for... Budgets tend to be conservative too - not knowing what revenue we will generate in cup competitions or where we will finish in the League.
The gamble in the 2017/18 season payed-off and there is no doubt it did this past season too...

charlie reacted to J.M. in Fraser Wishart
if I know that he was in several teams, although where he played the most was in Motherwell and St.Mirren, and then in the end in Clydebank, it seems that in St.Mirren he did not leave a good memory.

It’s a dreadful decision! If a decision has actually been taken to let Baird go.
I’ve had him as my top man forever... I may have to make a change....
I still reckon he’s got wot it takes.

charlie reacted to waldorf34 in Jack Baird
This is poor ,Jack ,with the right coaching to iron out his little wobble could have been a good centre half. You could never falt his effort.
So are we now a club that does not give our own youngsters ,some that are with club 10 or more years ,a chance ?
Back to old men that no one else wants and unproven Irish youngsters.
Scrap the academy ?

Thought he was a lot younger than 29

The most wonderful news is that we won't be getting the dirty sectarian pound from vile IRA supporting Celtic fans.
There will be none of the Green Vermin in our two Away Stands.
Fantastic.
Feck them and their scum money.

charlie reacted to stlucifer in And then there were 4
As usual you're typing sh!te shurly.
We, as supporters, can't throw them out. I have always been vocal in my hope for them to disappear from our game. In fact. When we had the chance to cut one cheek off the @rse, I was openly outraged that the league didn't take the opportunity, commenting that the other half needed them because, "They couldn't fart properly with one cheek missing". I don't contribute financially to either of them because I don't go to their grounds. Gate receipts at Saint Mirren Park only go to Saint Mirren. As for welcoming them to our stadium. Firstly. You simply cannot honestly claim it as "our" stadium when you refuse to go there. Secondly. I don't welcome them and have complained about them having the stand. Unlike you, I want to ensure we have a club and make the decision to follow MY team, not yours, in spite of the scum from the east and west of Glasgow.
Now. Go away you trolling fool.

Coupla news stories from the Beeb, both with financial implications for the club....
Scottish Premiership clubs have been dealt a blow as HMRC confirm players will need to come off the furlough scheme when they return to training. Premiership teams face testing bills of up to £5,000 per week to enable their players to get back to training this month.
